Akatsuki: A "Naruto" Quiz

Answer: Orochimaru

Though he was no longer a member of Akatsuki at the time, Orochimaru launched a vicious attack on the Leaf Village. He personally battled the 3rd Hokage while his minions and the sand shinobi attacked the village. He was driven off by the 3rd Hokage when he sacrificed his own life to lay a curse on Orochimaru's arms. Kakuzu and Sasori had nothing to do with the attack and Gaara is not a member of Akatsuki.

Answer: Itachi

Orochimaru attempted to take control of Itachi's body so that he could finally possess the Sharingan. However, Itachi was too powerful to be controlled and he paralyzed Orochimaru and severed his left hand effortlessly. Orochimaru has since moved on to Itachi's younger brother, Sasuke, in order to obtain the Sharingan.

Answer: Kisame

Kisame Hoshigaki, along with Zabuza Momochi, Raiga Kurosuki, and four other unknown members, was a member of the group known as the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist. Not much is known about them, but they all (obviously) use swords in battle. Kisame's sword, the samehada, is capable of devouring his opponent's chakra.

Answer: Kakuzu

Kakuzu is the oldest member in Akatsuki, and he has lived an extremely long life due to his unique abilities. He possesses five hearts in his body and can replace them at any time in order to extend his life. During his battle with several Konoha shinobi, he states that he had previously fought with the First Hokage.

Answer: Zetsu

Zetsu is one of the most unusual members of Akatsuki. His upper body resembles a giant venus flytrap, and he is often sent to devour the bodies of people that Akatsuki has killed in order to dispose of them. He has yet to engage in a battle thus far, and unlike most Akatsuki members, he does not have a partner.

Answer: Deidara

After hearing that Sasuke had defeated Orochimaru before he had gotten the chance to, Deidara flew into a rage and left to kill Sasuke. Sasuke had to pull out every trick in his book to overcome Deidara, including sacrificing Orochimaru's powerful snake, Manda.

Answer: Hidan

Hidan is quite different from the rest of Akatsuki. He shows virtually no respect for anyone else in the organization and also seems to be immortal. He has lived through numerous incidents that would kill a normal man, and even after being dismembered by Shikamaru, he continued to mouth off at his opponent.

He is currently incapacitated, as he was dismembered and buried deep underground by Shikamaru.

Answer: Sasori

During his battle with Sakura and Chiyo, Sasori boasts that he and his army of 100 puppets were powerful enough to conquer an entire nation. However, he was not powerful enough to survive against his grandmother, as her ten puppets were able to overcome his army of puppets.

Answer: Tobi

Though it has yet to be confirmed by anyone from Konoha, Tobi has claimed to be the founder of the Uchiha clan, Madara Uchiha. In the manga, he has even been seen giving out orders to Pein, indicating that he may be the actual Akatsuki leader. It is unclear whether Itachi is aware of Tobi's identity.

Answer: Kabuto

After Orochimaru left Akatsuki, Sasori inserted Kabuto near him as a spy to report all of his activities back to Akatsuki. Orochimaru realized this immediately and released Sasori's spell over him. Kabuto has served Orochimaru faithfully ever since.
