Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Who was the houseguest that was evicted that brought the houseguest total down to 7?

Answer: Natalie

Nakomis was the Head of Household who nominated Natalie and Adira for eviction. Adria won the power of veto competition and took herself off the chopping block. Nakomis replaced Adria with Michael. Natalie was evicted by a vote of 5-1, the only vote that went to Michael was from her twin sister Adria.
2. When was it announced to the public that there would be a double eviction week inside the "Big Brother" house?

Answer: August 31

On August 31 during the weekday showing of "House Calls", which is the live CBS "Big Brother" talk show available only online at cbs.com, Allison Grodner, an executive producer of "Big Brother", announced that there would be a second eviction held during the September 4 episode of "Big Brother 5". Julie Chen announced to the houseguests and to the remainder of the public during the September 2 live television broadcast.
3. Who won the veto competition called "Ice, Ice Veto"?

Answer: Karen

Karen was picked to play this veto competition by Adria. This was the first competition that Karen had won in the game. Diane did not compete in this competition but acted as Master of Ceremonies.
4. When the "Big Brother" house had only 7 houseguests remaining, Nakomis was asked how many piercings she had. According to Nakomis how many piercings does she have?

Answer: 18

Drew and Diane were talking to Nakomis in the kitchen when Drew asked her. She thought for a little bit then started counting and somewhat pointing to where the piercings were.
5. Prior to the "Big Brother" house dwindling down to four houseguests, there was a three time Head of Household winner.

Answer: True

Nakomis won her third Head of Household competition on September 3, making her the first 3 time winner for "Big Brother 5" and the first three time winner of Head of Household since Hardy accomplished that feat in "Big Brother 2".
6. What date was the second eviction during the double eviction week?

Answer: September 3

The second eviction was shown on September 4, however the date of the eviction was September 3. Drew was the Head of Household and the nomination ceremony was conducted around 10:00 PM on September 2 after the live show. The following day they held the power of veto competition, veto meeting and the eviction. Drew was Head of Household less then 24 hours.
7. In the power of veto competition "Bounced", what was the winner's time?

Answer: 1:20

The houseguests had to bounce a ball into a target for each of the six remaining houseguests. The last player's target was Marvin, he said he had a jinx on it to prevent the ball from going into the target.
8. When there were 5 remaining houseguests, Nakomis won Head of Household. Who did she originally nominate for eviction?

Answer: Michael and Drew

This was Drew's first time on the chopping block. This was the second time that Michael was put on the block by his half sister, and his third trip overall. Diane won power of veto and used it to remove Drew from the block, which forced Nakomis to put up Karen since she was the only remaining houseguest that could be put up.
9. When the "Big Brother" house was down to 5 players, what date was the actual nomination ceremony?

Answer: September 4

With the double eviction week in place, the nomination ceremony was moved to Saturday since the normal Friday date had passed. This did give the Head of Household the normal one day to decide who to nominate unlike the most recent one which was only a few hours. The nomination ceremony was televised September 7.
10. When the Big Brother house dwindled down from 7 to 4 houseguests, all 7 houseguests were either nominated for eviction or were replaced as a nominee when the power of veto was used.

Answer: True

The final 7 houseguests were Adria, Diane, Drew, Karen, Nakomis, Marvin and Michael. When Marvin was Head of Household he nominated Adria and Michael. When Drew won Head of Household he nominated Diane and Marvin, when Diane won the power of veto and used it to save herself Drew nominated Nakomis to replace her. Nakomis won the final Head of Household during this period and nominated Drew and Michael. Once again Diane won power of veto and used it this time to save Drew. Nakomis had no choice on her replacement since Karen was the only remaining houseguest not on the block.
