Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In the eleventh episode entitled "This is Extortion", Natalie found the "Extortion" advantage on the Edge of Extinction. Upon discussion with Parvati, they decided to play the advantage on which player, who was the winner of "Survivor: Cagayan" (2013)?

Answer: Tony

The "Extortion" advantage required Tony to pay Natalie six fire tokens. Failure to do so would force him to sit out in the next immunity challenge. Upon receiving the package from Natalia, Tony was thrilled, thinking that he could play the advantage on another player.

However, he only came to the realization that the advantage was being played against him instead. Since Tony only had three fire tokens, he needed to get three more. He received one fire token each from Ben, Nick, and Sarah.
2. In "This is Extortion", Tony won the immunity challenge. He orchestrated a blindside against the winner of "Survivor: South Pacific" (2011), that eventually led to her elimination from the game, despite having an immunity idol in her pocket. Who was the player?

Answer: Sophie

Tony won his second immunity challenge in a row. With the immunity necklace, he was in a very good position to persuade other players to blindside Sophie. At Tribal Council, Sophie received four votes from Jeremy, Michele, Nick, and Tony. Jeremy received three votes, whereas Michele received two.
3. In the twelfth episode entitled "Friendly Fire", castaways on the Edge were offered a chance to earn fire tokens. The first six players who transported twenty coconuts from one side of the island to the other, one at a time, would win two fire tokens each. Which player, who had been dominating all the challenges on the Edge, was the first one to finish the task?

Answer: Natalie

The first six players who completed the task were Natalie, Sophie, Yul, Parvati, Tyson, and Wendell. Each of them received two fire tokens. The remaining five players, Danni, Amber, Rob, Adam, and Ethan, did not receive any fire tokens.
4. In "Friendly Fire", pandemonium broke out at Tribal Council, where the whispers continued as players discussed their strategies. Tony offered to play his immunity idol on Sarah, and Jeremy considered playing his 50/50 coin-flip advantage. Which player, winner of "Survivor: One World" (2011), was eventually voted out of the game?

Answer: Kim

Kim received five votes from Ben, Jeremy, Nick, Sarah, and Tony. On the other hand, Jeremy received three votes from Denise, Kim, and Michele. Before making her way to the Edge of Extinction, Kim bequeathed her fire tokens to Denise, Michele, and Sarah.
5. In the thirteenth episode entitled "The Penultimate Step of the War", Nick won the first immunity challenge, forcing Tony to change his initial plan. What advantage did Michele play at Tribal Council?

Answer: 50/50 coin-flip

Michele played her 50/50 coin-flip advantage. The coin landed on the "safety" face, meaning that any votes cast against her would not count. After the votes were read, Jeremy received three votes and he was sent to the Edge of Extinction.
6. In "The Penultimate Step of the War", Michele was the next target but the plan failed as she won the immunity challenge. Which player, winner of "Survivor: David vs. Goliath" (2018), was voted out of the game at Tribal Council?

Answer: Nick

At Tribal Council, Nick received four votes from Ben, Denise, Sarah, and Tony. Denise, on the other hand, received two votes from Michele and Nick.
7. In the fourteenth episode entitled "It All Boils Down to This", the players on the Edge of Extinction were given one final chance to return to the game. Which player, who bought three advantages and one immunity idol using the accumulated fire tokens, ultimately won the challenge?

Answer: Natalie

The remaining 13 players on the Edge of Extinction participated in the challenge, where the winner would return to the game. Natalie had a slow start, but she emerged victory. Interestingly, she was the first player to be voted out at Tribal Council in the very first episode of "Survivor: Winners at War".
8. In "It All Boils Down to This", an immunity challenge required castaways to collect puzzle pieces to build a three-tiered tower. Which player, who had participated and won the same challenge in "Survivor: Kaoh Rong" (2016), won the immunity challenge?

Answer: Michele

Michele was the last player to collect all the sandbags that contained the puzzle pieces. Despite having a slow start, Michele won the challenge, earning herself the coveted immunity necklace.
9. In the season finale episode entitled "It All Boils Down to This", Denise was voted out of the game after a very intense Tribal Council that featured three players playing their immunity idols. Who did NOT play an idol at Tribal Council?

Answer: Sarah

Natalie was the first player who informed Jeff that she would like to play her immunity idol. This forced Tony and Ben to play theirs, too. Natalie and Ben received four and two votes in the first round of voting, but all these votes did not count. In the second round of voting, Denise received four votes and she was eliminated from the game.
10. In "It All Boils Down to This", Natalie won the final immunity challenge and she decided to bring Michele to the final three with her. Tony won the fire-making challenge against Sarah. Who was crowned the title of the "Sole Survivor" of "Survivor: Winners at War"?

Answer: Tony

Due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, there was no reunion show for this season. The final segment of the three-hour series finale featured the announcement of the winner by the host Jeff Probst. The scene was filmed from Probst's garage, with the three finalists appearing on video calls.

The three finalists were Michele, Natalie, and Tony. Tony received twelve votes, Natalie received four, and Michele received none.

Having won both "Survivor: Winners at War" (2020) and "Survivor: Cagayan" (2013), Tony was the second player who had won the game twice. He tied the record previously held by Sandra, who won "Survivor: Pearl Islands" (2003) and "Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains" (2010).
