Thor's Hammer is obtained by fighting the Death Mech. Naturally, it's a Thunder elemental weapon. You'll notice that Gaia's Hammer does a nice amount of damage against this beast, as it would seem that hammers do more damage against machine type monsters.

Save this battle for last, depending on who you have with you. The Storm Dragon hits hard, and uses a damaging variant of Tornado and the mass critical spell Maelstrom liberally. However, after all of that work, just one claw is your reward, but, the Hand of the Gods is quite potent by itself. Try pairing it with a status changing claw like the Hell claw or the Fairy claw.

The Seraphim's Mace (which is actually classified as a staff)improves Porom's Spirit, and lets her use Esuna without MP on using the staff as an item. The battle with the T-Rex is rather unremarkable, provided you dodge the Earthquakes with Float.

Apollo's harp is still a weak weapon by any warrior standards, but it's a huge improvement for Edward when compared to the Lamia harp he had before it. When taking Edward through the Cave of Trials, change his equipment to a bow and arrows. Rely on the strength of the other team members to topple the Gigas Worm.

The Red Jacket and Red Cap are found in two of the many hard to access nooks of the Cave of Trials. These provide much needed defense boosts, as well as resistance to Fire.

The Grand Armor and Grand Helmet offer our favorite Engineer resistance against lightning. There is no shield because the hammer needs two hands to use properly.

Answer: After the end credits have finished rolling

After the end credits have ended for the first time, an explosion is shown near a rock on the Lunar surface that looks remarkably like a human face. This unlocks the Lunar Ruins, and unseals the trials of the five members in your party at the time. You must defeat Zeromus and watch the ending a minimum of three times with the various other characters to unseal all of the doors.
