Question 1 of 25
1. Apartment #1: The first item of business is to get you trained in the ways of being a top notch Secret Agent... like me. So let's start here. The girls in this apartment seem pretty nice, but we can never be too sure. Christy is an ice skater and teaches lessons at the major ice skating rink here in Provo. This was also the site for the Olympic Ice Hockey Games in 2002. What rink am I talking about? Hint

Question 2 of 25
2. Apartment #2: I've never seen Amber do anything shady, but let's check out her apartment anyway. She's an elementary education major at Brigham Young University. (That takes more patience than I have!) As with most of BYU's schools, the School of Education is named after a prominent individual associated with the history of the university. Who is this man? Hint

Question 3 of 25
3. Apartment #3: I actually knew Katherine before she moved into this apartment because she went to high school with two of my roommates, so we'll take a look at what she's doing. Katherine attended Weber State University before transferring to BYU just this summer. I've heard pretty good things about WSU, but I've never been there. In what Utah city is this college located? Hint

Question 4 of 25
4. Apartment #4: Brittany and Whitney might sound like overly-peppy identical twins or something, but it's not true. They were on their high school drill team together, though. Brittany now teaches at a dance studio in Orem called "Dance Club". Perhaps that's where all of the young mothers take their young daughters for years of rhythmic training. Who knows? Anyway, can you tell me the nickname of this city that Brittany works in? Hint

Question 5 of 25
5. Apartment #5: Mallorie is a pretty sweet girl, but she does have one major flaw. She used to attend the University of Utah! Boo! As a true blue Cougar, I am obligated to not be a Ute fan. It's the worst when we get together to play football. What is the name of this ruthless athletic face-off? Hint

Question 6 of 25
6. Apartment #6: I love talking to Heather because she is always complimenting me on my hair or my clothes. Perhaps this is just a ploy so I won't be suspicious of her. Well, I'd say she's a pretty tough girl. She did spend three whole days alone in the wilderness for her survival class. At least she wasn't alone on the tallest mountain on the Wasatch Front! But if she had, where would she have been? Hint

Question 7 of 25
7. Apartment #7: I love Jamie's cooking. I just hope nothing I eat contains any heavy sleeping agents or laxatives. As much as Jamie loves to cook good food, the people of this great state love to eat it! Which of the following is not one of the traditional state foods of Utah? Hint

Question 8 of 25
8. Apartment #8: Ahh... I'm finally home. But my trip doesn't end here. I might stop for a break though and beat around on my drumset for a little while to relieve some of the stress from being such an awesome Secret Agent. But I'm not the only one who loves a good musical bite. My fellow Utahns must enjoy it as well, seeing as how the Utah Music Festival is now in its eleventh season. In which city is this musical celebration held? Hint

Question 9 of 25
9. Apartment #9: As we move upstairs, it's easy to see that nobody lives here. Not only do I never see anyone come or go from that apartment (as a Secret Agent, I'm privy to these details), there is a whole collection of flyers and advertisements on the door. One of them is advertising a website specifically for engaged people. That's probably because the BYU student body has the highest percentage of married students in the nation. As of the end of 2004, approximately what was the proportion of married students to single students? Hint

Question 10 of 25
10. Apartment #10: My closet friend in this complex, Lisa, lives in this apartment. I'm pretty sure that she's free of shady dealings, but a good Secret Agent leaves no stone unturned. Not only does she have a steady full-time job, she works as a photographer on the side. But if you want to pay the big bucks for, say, your wedding photography (because this is Provo), you might want to go to an award-winning photographer like Kenneth Linge. He is universally acclaimed as Scandinavia's most winning portrait photographer and is located right here in Utah! From which Scandinavian country does this artist hail? Hint

Question 11 of 25
11. Apartment #11: Soccer seems to be a popular activity around here, and Shannon, from this apartment, is one of the reasons why it keeps on going. She's great at organizing games for people in the complex to play. Maybe the popularity stems from BYU's phenomenal men's soccer club. What is it that makes BYU's soccer program so unique? Hint

Question 12 of 25
12. Apartment #12: Dora is a sweetheart. It's got to be hard living here and being so far away from her home in Mexico. Sometimes she speaks in spanish and I can't understand her, so maybe I should be on the lookout for any suspicious goings-on in her apartment. Maybe I'm just jealous because I don't know any spanish. But plenty of other people do. BYU actually has quite a diversity of languages spoken by its students. Which of the languages listed below is not taught at BYU? Hint

Question 13 of 25
13. Apartment #13: Now we travel over to the boys' side of the complex. I'm guessing that if anything fishy is going on, it's over here somewhere. Jeremiah seems like a fairly level guy. He does hold a steady, well-paying job at one of the most prominent business franchises here in Provo. He takes inbound customer calls for what international corporation selling skin, body and other health care products? Hint

Question 14 of 25
14. Apartment #14: I was talking to Bill one day while we were at the wedding reception (not together, mind you) of my old roommate who married his old roommate. Bill himself is engaged to another girl in our complex. He was telling me about how they had recently registered for gifts and the plot he was conceiving to convince someone to buy them a KitchenAid. What is the name of the big red store in which many people register through their 'Club Wedd' program? Hint

Question 15 of 25
15. Apartment #15: Rod is a huge video game fan. That's reason enough to be suspicious of the things he does. Okay, maybe not, but I'm still keeping an eye out. I'm sure he's excited for any new developments in the video game industry. I've heard rumors of what is popular in this realm. The other day, someone was talking about some little guy named Link battling his way through whatever to save a village called Hyrule. What Nintendo Gamecube game did I overhear this person talking about? Hint

Question 16 of 25
16. Apartment #16: Gustavo is quite the character, though I'm not sure if he qualifies as being fishy. He might be a little loud sometimes, but that's it. People around here don't mind loud, as long as it isn't finals week or 3am. The police also have their own set of annoyances. One of them includes snowball throwing. It is only legal to throw a snowball if you are on Deseret Towers field at BYU. How annoying. I don't want to be caught throwing them anywhere else in town, though. I'm too poor to be paying fines for stuff like that. How much would the city of Provo fine me, however, if they did catch me chucking a large hunk of snow? Hint

Question 17 of 25
17. Apartment #17: Tom is certainly one of my favorite people here. And the fact that he's from Canada just makes him all the more endearing. I always love to see him driving his car because it brandishes an adorable Quebec license plate! What French phrase, meaning "I remember", do I see at the bottom of his license plate every time I see his car? Hint

Question 18 of 25
18. Apartment #18: Now if anything suspicious was going on in this apartment, I would certainly know. Our apartments face each other and the sliding glass door out to our balcony gives our apartment a prime view of all of their comings and goings. Drew is one of the nicer guys in the complex. He's especially generous with allowing people to watch movies out of his massive DVD collection. This collection includes a 2004 hit that was based off of a past BYU student film entitled "Peluca" starring Jon Heder. What film am I referring to? Hint

Question 19 of 25
19. Apartment #19: Garrett is more goofy than shady, so I think we're safe in this apartment. He actually ran for BYU's student body vice-president recently, but sadly, he didn't win. So if it wasn't him, who was the student body president and vice-president at BYU for the 2005-2006 school year? Hint

Question 20 of 25
20. Apartment #20: I've known Stephen for a while now. We used to live near each other in the dorms when we were freshman. He's in a band with a few other guys in our complex. Their band is called "2/5 Steve" because of the presence of two Steves. They like to play at a local music place on University Avenue in Provo that welcomes new talent from the area as well as aspiring musicians from other parts of the nation. What is the name of this rockin' summer hangout? Hint

Question 21 of 25
21. Apartment #21: I can't let my guard down just because everyone around here is so nice! Suspect everyone, that's my motto. Bryan is easily the quietest guy around here. He's a member of BYU's Army ROTC. He could be seen last weekend carrying a love seat up three flights of stairs by himself. BYU's Army ROTC program trains many qualified men and women in the ways of strength and endurance. But the Army isn't the only one with an established program here. What other branch of the military has an ROTC program at BYU? Hint

Question 22 of 25
22. Apartment #22: Easily my favorite apartment in the complex! All of my free time is spent up here doing everything and nothing all at once. Josh and Patrick are two brothers living here and are very musically inclined. Josh sings in the BYU Men's Chorus while Patrick wails away on his saxophone. Another famous musical family hailed from Utah, getting their start in 1962 and passing their talents down to a "second generation". Which family am I referring to? Hint

Question 23 of 25
23. Apartment #23: Arisael is one of the hippest kids in the bunch. He's an especially talented thespian, appearing in a variety of theater productions at BYU. His latest one is "Holes", based on the book by Louis Sachar. Camp Green Lake never looks as good as when someone like Ari is playing the role of X-Ray. Which of the other following characters does not appear in "Holes"? Hint

Question 24 of 25
24. Apartment #24: Finally! The last apartment! It's about time. You know, I'm always up for giving someone a free haircut and Matt takes me up on that offer frequently. I do a decent job, but if someone around here were looking for something a little more professional, they could just go right down the street to the Paul Mitchell school. It's right next to that place where all of the buff guys hang out. You know the place I mean. What's it called? Hint

Question 25 of 25
25. Conclusion: Well, now that our journey is through and my stealth secret agent skills have been put to good use, I can say with confidence that this place is filled with nothing but awesome people. It's true. Well, that's all I have for today. Oh, but one last thing. Before you go, can you tell me how to get out of here? I'm looking to take a long road trip to ease some tension. The interstate I'm looking for is the one that goes north-south through the Salt Lake and Utah Valleys and heads straight through Las Vegas and into Southern California. It's the one everyone takes to get pretty much anywhere. What was it called again? Hint

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts

Answer: Seven Peaks

The Peaks Ice Arena, where some of the Olympic Ice Hockey Games were played, is located in Seven Peaks. The E Center was the other site for these games, but is located in the Salt Lake area. Snowbird is a ski resort and Classic Skating is a roller rink.

Answer: David O McKay

The School of Law is named after J Reuben Clark. The Spencer W Kimball Tower is not a school, but just a 12-story building filled with faculty offices and a few classrooms. I should know, I worked as a custodian in that building for over 2 years! The Karl G Maeser building is the home of the Honors Program. That explains why I haven't had classes in that building for quite some time.

Answer: Ogden

Go Wildcats! Wait... I'm a Cougar fan. Um, anyway... it's in Ogden. The University of Utah is in Salt Lake City, Utah State University is in Logan and Dixie College is in St George.

Answer: Family City USA

I'm guessing it has to do with all of the, um, families in town.

Answer: The Holy War

The term "Holy War" was originally derived from the significant religious influence of the surrounding area.

The "Iron Bowl" is the game played between Alabama and Auburn, the "Egg Bowl" is played between Ole Miss and Mississippi State and the "Civil War" is played between Oregon and Oregon State.

Answer: Mt Nebo

If you chose Mt Kilimanjaro, good for you! Way to think big! But it's in Africa. Not even close to Utah.
7. Apartment #7: I love Jamie's cooking. I just hope nothing I eat contains any heavy sleeping agents or laxatives. As much as Jamie loves to cook good food, the people of this great state love to eat it! Which of the following is not one of the traditional state foods of Utah?

Answer: Cream of Wheat

Most of these foods are famous for their Mormon traditions. Cream of Wheat? Well, I guess the legislators of North Dakota thought this traditional state food was a fun idea.

Answer: Park City

This chamber and jazz music fest has become increasingly popular over the years. I, however, still prefer the sound of my own rhythmic rantings. Who's with me?

Answer: almost one quarter were married

According to a study done by the University in 2004, 22% of students are married. However, when they polled the students as to their estimate of how many BYU students they thought were married, the average came out to be about 40%. Talk about skewed perceptions.

Answer: Norway

Olav Kenneth Linge was only the sixth person to ever to receive the Norwegian Professional Photographers Association's (NFF) highest print honor, and in the shortest period of time. He has also won the Kodak Nordic Photographer of the Year, NFF's Photographer of the Year and won the Scandinavian Fame Portrait Exhibition three times in a row.

Impressive. And to think I was actually able to meet this guy before I knew all of that.

Answer: All of these are true about BYU's soccer program.

I have never played soccer in my life. Not once. Not that it doesn't look like fun, but I really don't want to give anyone a reason to bounce a solid object off of my head.

Answer: Thai

Soy un gran agente secreto. (Spanish)
Je suis un grand agent secret. (French)
Sono un grand'agente segreto. (Italian)
Ik ben een geweldige geheim agent. (Dutch)
Sou um grande agente secreto. (Portuguese)
Jeg er et stort hemmeligt middel. (Norwegian)
I am a great secret agent. (English)

Any way you look at it, I think I'm doing a pretty good job so far.

Answer: Nu Skin

Would you buy stuff from any place that called their products "Saggy Skin"?

Answer: Target

Don't register at Petsmart. Just go with me on that one.

Answer: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

Ocarina of Time was a Zelda game made for the Nintendo 64. Link's Awakening was made for the Game Boy and Game Boy Color.

No, I'm not a video game junkie. I looked it up on the internet like every other quiz-makin' monkey.

Answer: $50

Um, $50? Are you kidding me? For that, I'd make sure it was worth my while. The side of the police cruiser of the officer ticketing me for such a meaningless offense looks like a prime target.

Answer: Je me souviens.

J'oublie. (I forget.)
J'ai la mauvaise haleine. (I have bad breath.)
Mon chien a mangé votre petit frère. (My dog ate your little brother.)

Not all keen things to put on a license plate.

Answer: Napoleon Dynamite

Jon Heder was only paid $1,000 for his role as Napoleon. The movie ended up grossing over $40,000,000 in the United States alone. Not such a sweet deal for him.
19. Apartment #19: Garrett is more goofy than shady, so I think we're safe in this apartment. He actually ran for BYU's student body vice-president recently, but sadly, he didn't win. So if it wasn't him, who was the student body president and vice-president at BYU for the 2005-2006 school year?

Answer: Adam Larson and Chrissie Sant

You are probably thinking, "Who freakin' cares", right? That's okay. Secret agents just need to be on top of these things. Besides, if someone said that they thought George W was the student body president of BYU during 2005-2006, I'd need to be suspicious of them.

Answer: Muse Music

2/5 Steve: Featuring Steve, Steve and three other band members. Not for the average listener.

Answer: Air Force

Left... left... left, right, left...

Answer: The Osmonds

Once, I was flying back to Utah from Ohio (where my family lives) and I had a layover in St Louis. On my flight from St Louis to Salt Lake City, I discovered that a whole slew of Osmonds were on board. No, neither Donny nor Marie were on the flight, but Merrill was.

He was the only one I could distinctively tell apart from any other Joe on the plane. I only knew that there were other Osmonds aboard because of the whisperings of some old ladies in front of me and because he kept talking to a whole bunch of people that appeared to be his family. I was also sitting next to some guy from England who heard the old ladies in front of us, turned to me and said, "Are those people famous or something?" That was the highlight of my trip.

Answer: Bones

If you haven't seen the movie or read the book, I highly recommend it. (As you can see, I have nothing better to do than read children's literature on my days off.)

Answer: Gold's Gym

Buff guys wouldn't hang out at Lose-A-Lot even if it was a real place.

Answer: I-15

I-80 goes east-west through Salt Lake.

Well, hope you enjoyed joining me on my exploration. You are now an official Secret Agent. Congratulations! Keep up those suspicious attitudes and trust no one!
