FunTrivia is a family-friendly site and even though children aged under thirteen are not allowed to have their own accounts we know that many families use FunTrivia as a family activity. We also have to follow the laws in some countries about what is acceptable for children. As a result, although FunTrivia members are adults we do not allow conduct on the Chatboards that may conflict with our policies. In particular:

We do not allow name-calling, swearing, attacks on individuals or groups; neither do we allow discussion of politics or religion.

Please do not post personal information on the boards, including your age and contact details.

Please choose the board that best fits the subject of your post. If you are unsure, contact a Moderator first. Before starting a new topic, read other threads to see if you can add to one of those. Duplicate threads are usually not permitted. However, if there is a topic with an existing thread that no one has used for two or more years, please start a new thread.

Links
Do not post links to other sites that may contain commercial material or advertising or which contain comments sections of their own. For example, sites such as YouTube may allow comments that would not be permitted on FunTrivia and while a page may seem acceptable at the time of posting, that situation may change as comments are added. Hey. We have DID, which stands4Dissociative Identity Disorder. our system name is now the sanctuary hope system. &we have a cluster group (mostly comprising infants&toddlers--an army of them) named Legion (a small portion of the group splintered off2become Rogue Legion... these are folks stuck in destructive ways&past beliefs detrimental2the whole. some people might consider how we live our lives2b detrimental, since we dont attend therapy or take medication (there is no treatment4DID, only the symptoms of comorbid disorders).

DID used2b called MPD (Multiple Personality Disorder); that's outdated, since DID isnt a personality disorder. &we dont care4the term alters, since we see ourselves as people (some systems say parts, &that's fine&good4them; however we prefer folks or Legion.

Hikarumichi is leader of sanctuary hope system, &Osanu is leader of Legion. if we sign a name at the bottom of the post, it indicates who wrote the post. if someone wants2call attention2a specific person in this head, simply write the name of that person. otherwise, whoever fronts next will try2answer any questions yu might have, or continue whatever convo was already started, etc.

sometimes, we get passionate about things, or carried away with emotion. we'r trying2do better, since this has cost us 2friendships with fellow DID/DDNOS systems.

among other things, we enjoy writing. short stories&poetry both, though we tend2write more poetry. we'r in several writing critique groups on facebook&also poetry groups. we also belong2support groups, but that's neither here nor there in the context of this post. right now, we want2share one of our short stories. there's no title yet, &we'r not sure if this draft works very well yet. we havent yet posted2the writing groups...

Cristina leaned close to me. "I don't want to scare the children, but I'm not sure we'll make it home." Growling, she pointed to several dark shapes entering the grove.
My heart clenched. "They snuck up on us."
My mate nodded, trying to remain calm for the kits.
I looked around. "I wonder if I could distract them long enough for yu to sneak past?"My eyes pleaded with her not to argue.
She shook her head. "Doubtful. These "men," if you can call them that, came out of nowhere. She sniffed. "I heard stories about these guys, but never thought they'd come so far into the forest.""They're excellent trackers, so the tales say. They must have followed our prints. Remember yesterday, when we let Kenshin play with some other forest kits? I forget which family... I think maybe they roamed too close to the border."
"Well, crap on toast. Seems he's their leader. It also looks like he just gave them some sort of signal."
My chest tightened, yet I tried to show no outward sign. "Take the kits and go. I'l cover yu."
She sighed. "OK, fine. However, I don't think this is going to work." I glared. "We'll still try it your way, first."
I nodded, thanking her with my eyes. She nodded tensely and beckoned to Kenshin.
I crouched in front of my family, hissing and staring the leader down. "Leave my children and mate alone. Im the one yu want."

happy fathers' day2all the dads out there

we'r trying2figure out how2salvage a friendship with another system. we said things we shouldnt have, &behaved terribly. reasons4it dont matter; after a while, even explanations sound like excuses.

there are2system members who are struggling more than the rest with this... Krystina had been mated2one in their system (&mating bonds are sacred, so breaking those hurts more than yur conventional breakup). &Cristelle, 5years old, is Krystina's child (his, which makes it harder; &he also has a son, so Cristelle misses both her father&brother).

Legion&Cristelle both wrote posts on social media2ascertain if anyone might know them (&maybe someone will contact them, &then they will unblock&contact us so we can try2show them how remorseful we are).

this day is hard4us cos body doesnt know who her father is; her mother refused2tell us often enough we stopped asking. even when we said we have a right2know, we were told that it's not a happy story (as if we didnt already know that) &therefore we should leave it alone. that really upsets us...

on another note, the second wave of Covid is hitting our county hard. we heard a story about a local 21-year-old who refused2wear a mask&do social distancing. she wanted2go2nightclubs&restaurants, &Tennessee refused2close anything when other states did. so, she&her boyfriend went down there... bringing Covid back with them. now our area has 289 cases (progably more at this writing); in order2go from the yellow phase of reopening2green phase, we would need 7.

(side note: there is a bit more of the story we posted yesterday, however we wont bother if nobody's interested. that, &there's a lot of system stuff going on right now that sort of gets in the way. &even if we do, it still needs a lot of work. we'r having trouble writing anything... same thing that usually happens--the pattern is, we start&cant finish).

Kenshin hissed softly, giving his mother a betrayed look. "I'm with daddy." His lip jutting out, he moved to crouch behind me.1` The leader chuckled, The leader chuckled, gazing mockingly at me. "What are you going to do if I don't?"His men snickered. E"What's this?" The leader's lip curled as he looked at my son. "Aw, how very touching. this kid believes he's a match for us?" Laughter shook the trees, making me shiver. I threw Cristina a desperate glance; she shook her head, and I groaned inwardly. I then turned to the 10-year-old cowering behind me. "Son, I need yu to go with yur mother and siblings to a safe place."
He shook his head. "No way am I leaving you to face them alone." He hissed at the goons, who laughed at his bravado.
I bit back a frustrated growl. "Kenshin, this is no time for stubbornness. The rest of yur family needs yu. I'l be fine."
He rolled his eyes, lips trembling and refusing to move. "Nuh uh, daddy." My heart sank. These men meant business. I needed mny loved ones safe. How could I manage that if my son refused to listen to me?
The Goon Leader tapped his foot. "You guys seem to be under the misconception that we're going to permit anyone to leave."
My catlike eyes narrowed and I hissed again. "I agree to go with yu, but only if theyr let go."
Kenshin's tiny paws balled into fists. "You can't be serious, daddy."
Amxiety coursed through me at the thought of my family hurt and bleeding. I nodded, body rigid. "Go with yur mother, son. I wont say it again."
"I won't." He nodded at his mother. "My siblings are all too young to fight. They should all go somewhere safe with mommy. I'll stay with you and--"
I arched an eyebrow. "Son, I appreciate the thought; However, these "people" are..." My voice trailed away, and I stared ahead as if words would come from the trees. I heard a growl behind me. My son glared, hair standing on end. "I'm not leaving, and you can't make me."
Cristina made a distress call, and I groaned. "Son, at this rate, they'll hurt both of us. please go with yur mother--"
He shook his head again. "They won't let mommy go without a fight. Don't you see how they're positioned?"

Just got our highest total on daily game... 19 questions of the 20

TV hadnt worked right4while. tried phone resets; they never work, even the15minute ones (those are cable box ones).

Friday we finally get2speak2agent. he the1schedule us4Monday between 12-2. their covid guidelines4social distancing b 10 feet away from people, not just 6. &wearyn masks. we learn that yesterday. anyhoo, we get ahead of ourselves. man Friday hard2understand cus he speak with accent. also, he likely had us on speakerphone initially, &we couldnt hear him due2the bacckground noise.

so, yesterday we had2call company again cus it no work. sit through big long speech about covid they go through whenever you call. it annoy us how they talk about alternative of goin2their website. geez... cus if we could use the website, we wouldnt b hangin on the phone. we would do the online option if we could; technology wont allow us.

spoke2Brittany. no trouble comprehendin what she askin us. &she understood about body's blindness. computer was suggestyn virtual technician, &she overrode it... finally was able2schedule someone2come out between 2&4 this afternoon. we felt kinda bad, cus he fixed it almost immediately (well... the sound; apparently, he had2reconfigure settings or something).

Osanu asked what went wrong originally&he admitted he didnt know, however he reset the cable box&it came right on.

it was weird... cus it had made this high-pitched screeching noise, then stopped working.

was watchin on news how some things bein shut down... like, Florida closin beaches down. &they had someone on the news, a medical professional, warnin that the US could see 100,000 covid cases cus we'r goin in the wrongg direction.

meanwhile, our county's numbers are lookin good relative2 a few weeks ago. we were supposed2enter the green phase of reopening few weeks ago, but people decided they didnt need2tqake precautions... &we wound up with 200-some cases. if the latest number is2b believed, we'r down28, &when we hit 7, we can go green (&the plan is2do that Friday).

one young woman, 21, went2Tennessee with her boyfriend cus she wanted2go2clubs&restaurants, &they nevver closed those things... they brought covid back with them. thought they didnt need masks or anything.

well, on news, there were people urging others2wear masks cus they're the only way2mitigate how fast this infection is spreadin.

again, as with yesterday, one of the top stories is about how beaches are closing4the4thof July weekend, &that experts are warning the US is approaching a point where Covid-19 will be out of control due2people not taking pr3ecautions. they're saying we pushed2reopen too quickly, &the price is another spike. Pennsylvania saw 832 cases just today, the highest since May; of those, 61 are in Dauphin County (capital region)&11in Lebanon County (where we are) (all this while Trump continues2downplay the spike in cases). back2Pennsylvania, there are drought conditions in the western part of the state, &they're saying that's going2continue4a few weeks. Hershey Park&Chocolate Town reopen tomorrow, while Dutch Wonderland is waiting until I think the 18th or something, stating they want2create the safest environment2reopen that they can. as4the nation as a whole, quoted from the news: "America's healers may be in need of healing themselves." they said at least half have post-traumatic stress disorder due2the pandemic. ~Draco
