'All My Children'- Characters
Bianca. Michael raped Bianca. He was not convicted of it however. This sent the whole town on a rampage and caused someone to murder him.
Ryan. Ryan found him and he then called Edmund to come to see what he had found. Ryan then vanished and Edmund called it in that he was the first one to find him.
Tempo. "Tempo" the magazine has been around "AMC" since the 1980s.
Her daily planner. David and Erica went to Michael's and she accidentally dropped the planner. She frantically had to get it back because it had her initials on it.
Pennsylvania. It is a fictitious town that is supposed to be not far from New York City.
Babe. Yes, it is actually Babe. Babe is short for Airabella.
Las Vegas. Kendall actually did not marry Michael. She went to Las Vegas and made all of the arrangement so that it looked like she married him before he died. We will have to wait and see what part she actually played in his death.
Pigeon Hollow, West Virginia. Dixie Cooney and her brother, Will, left Pigeon Hollow, West Virginia, and came to Pine Valley in search of their uncle, Pete Cooney. Dixie was unaware that Pete changed his name to Palmer Cortlandt. Dixie was working as a maid at the Cortlandt Residence and when Palmer realized that Dixie was his niece, he welcomed her and her brother into his life.
Seabone Hunkle. Dixie was the daughter of Bess Cooney (Palmer Cortlandt's sister) and Seabone Hunkle. They also had 2 more children, another girl, Melanie and a boy William.
The Chandler boathouse. Dixie took a job as the nanny for Laura Cudahy. Laura was the daughter of Brooke English who was married to Adam Chandler, at the time. Since Brooke thought she was unable to have any more children, Adam seduced Dixie with the hope of finally having the son he wanted so badly.
Laurel Hill. Adam married Dixie because he thought she would leave with their baby. After the marriage, he began to fool Dixie into thinking she was going insane. He had planned to get back with Brooke and leave Dixie at the mental institution, Laurel Hill.
Derek Frye. Dixie befriended Billy Clyde Tuggle, a pimp in Center City. Unforturately Dixie was unaware of this and Billy Clyde grew smitten with her. Dixie did not return Billy Clyde's affections since she was trying to get back together with her true love Tad Martin. He kidnapped Dixie and brought her to a cabin, in the woods, where he threatened that if he couldn't have her, no one would. Tad arrived, in the nick of time, with Derek Frye.
Craig Lawson. Distraught over Tad's presumed death, Dixie eventually married Craig Lawson, a Pine Valley businessman and con man, in 1991. There was really no love, as Dixie was just trying to fill a void and by the Spring of 1992, they decided to divorce.
Brian Bodine. Still mourning the loss of Tad, Dixie married Brian in late 1992. Dixie wanted true love again but didn't find it and they were divorced in 1993.
The Canadian wilderness. Ted took Tad on a camping trip in the Canadian wilderness. He wanted to kill Tad so he could assume his identity and have Dixie all to himself. Dixie foiled that plan by showing up.
Switzerland. A heart condition made pregnancy difficult for Dixie, Dr. David Hayward arranged for her to go to a high-risk pregnancy center in Switzerland, after she found out she was finally pregnant with Tad's child. Dixie had not told Tad that she was pregnant for fear of him wanted her to abort the baby to save her health.
At the cemetery. Dixie became close friends with Zach Slater, even claiming an affair to distract from a murder investigation. Zach was just helping Dixie find Kate.

She had been searching for her daughter, Kate, whom she had been coerced into giving up for adoption. Everyone thought Dixie and the her unborn child had died in a horrible car accident in Switzerland. After her return to Pine Valley, it was revealed that she had survived and Dixie explained that she couldn't bear to come home without her daughter. Tad & JR found out that she had given a daughter, named Kate, up for adoption.
While driving to the airport in the rain Dixie lost control of her car and went over a cliff. The car wreckage was found but no trace of Dixie's body was found. After a long search Dixie and her unborn baby were declared dead. Tad and Junior were devastated. On May 22 2002, all of Pine Valley held a memorial service in honor of Dixie.
David Hayward was furious with Dixie for rejecting him. Before leaving Pine Valley, David had forged a DNA test that said that Emma McDermott, the daughter of a new resident of Pine Valley, was really Tad and Dixie's daughter Kate. When that lie was exposed, Tad and Dixie feared they would never find their daughter.
After eating a poisoned peanut butter pancake intended for her daughter-in-law, Babe Chandler. Dixie was unaware that her daughter, who had been adopted, was right in Pine Valley at the time of her death. To fill the void in Tad, of their lost child, Dixie told JR, on her deathbed, that Krystal was carrying Tad's child. She died at Pine Valley Hospital and as her spirit left, she saw her daughter for the first time since her birth. It was Kathy, an orphan being cared for by Julia Santos.
Eileen Herlie. Herlie came to "AMC", in 1976, as Myrtle, a woman who used to work as a carny. She was born on March 18th, 1918 in Glasgow, Scotland. She died on October 8th, 2008 in New York City at the age of 90. One of Herlie’s earliest acting credits was starring in the 1950 film, "The Angel with the Trumpet."

1983. Herlie got her first Daytime Emmy nomination in 1983 when she was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress and she received subsequent nominations in 1984, 1985, and 1986 in the same category. She lost, on her first nomination in 1983, to Louise Shaffer of "Ryan’s Hope." Other Daytime Emmy nominees for Outstanding Supporting Actress that year were Kim Delaney of "All My Children", Marcy Walker of "All My Children", Robin Mattson of "General Hospital", and Brynn Thayer of "One Life to Live." In 1984, she lost to Judi Evans Luciano of "Guiding Light", she lost to Beth Maitland of "The Young and the Restless" in 1985, and she lost to Leann Hunley of "Days of our Lives" in 1986.
Lum. Myrtle was best known for having the last name of "Fargate" but she actually came to town as Myrtle Lum. We never found out who Mytle’s biological parents were. In the early 1990s, her niece, Ceara Connor, came to town.
Nigel. Myrtle was involved in a scam that was set up by Phoebe Tyler. To end the scam, she got a friend of hers involved name Nigel Fargate. She and Nigel eventually became lovers and they married. Their marriage was dissolved when Nigel died.

Lucy Carpenter. Phoebe was desperate to break up Kitty and Linc (Linc is Phoebe’s son) so she hired Myrtle to pose as Kitty’s mother, Lucy Carpenter. While Myrtle was a part of the scheme, she grew to love Kitty like a daughter. Myrtle went to Phoebe and told her she wanted no part of her scheme anymore. Myrtle managed to end this sham that Phoebe orchestrated (for more info, see "Interesting Info" section in question four).
The Boutique. Myrtle was best known as the owner of a clothing store that she named The Boutique. Many Pine Valley residents went to her store to shop for weddings, parties, and other major events. While Erica Kane and Carmen Morales were on the run from the law in March of 2008, they stopped at The Boutique so Carmen could try on some clothes and imagine life as a rich woman. Myrtle retired, as owner of The Boutique, in August of 2008.

Yes. Myrtle not only attended the wedding but she walked Jenny down the aisle since Jenny’s mother, Opal, was nowhere to be found at that time. Deep down, Myrtle really wanted Jenny to marry Greg Nelson but she accepted Jenny’s plan to marry Tony. When Greg interrupted Tony and Jenny’s wedding, Myrtle encouraged Greg to get Jenny and talk her out of marrying Tony. Tony and Jenny never got married but Jenny married Greg on Valentine’s Day of 1984. Shortly after Greg and Jenny’s wedding, Jenny died when her jet ski exploded.

Jeremy Hunter. Erica entered The Boutique, one day, and saw Natalie talking to Myrtle. Erica noticed Natalie holding a necklace and asked Natalie if Alex Hunter had given that to her. Natalie said yes and then Erica asked Myrtle if she can help consult with her about her upcoming wedding to Jeremy Hunter. At the time, Natalie also pined for Jeremy’s affections but he, first, got engaged to Erica. Natalie walked out of The Boutique and Myrtle told Erica she was awful to talk about her upcoming wedding, in front of Natalie, since Jeremy broke Natalie’s heart. This scene was included in the ABC video, "All About Erica", that was released in 1994.

The Declaration of Independence. Erica was arrested, the day before Thanksgiving of 2002, since she broke into Kendall’s hotel room at the Valley Inn. Myrtle, Bianca, and Opal decided to jaywalk in the hopes they would be arrested and spend time in jail with Erica. When all three accompanied Erica in jail, Bianca mentioned that Myrtle started reciting The Declaration of Independence.
