The Office (US) - Characters
She was fired. Scott thought this would be a funny prank to show the Ryan, the new temp. He called her into his office to tell her she was fired for stealing post-it notes. This made her very upset and he then told her she was "punked". She stomped out of his office and called him a jerk.
mixed berry. In the first episode of "The Office" (2005) Beesly revealed that mixed berry was her favorite yogurt. Halpert knew that it was her favorite flavor because he had a crush on her and picked up on her favorites.
Michael Scott. Scott constantly harassed Beesly by talking about her good looks. Beesly often had to cover for Scott when he was out of the office or doing things he wasn't supposed to be doing. Beesly also had to make Scott do his work as he liked to goof off.
Dunder-Mifflin. Dunder-Mifflin, Inc. was a fake company used just for the show. The company catered to smaller business clients. It traded under the fake ticker symbol, DMI.
Scranton. Scranton is located in Northeastern Pennsylvania. There were also branches in Stamford, Albany, Buffalo, Utica, Akron, Camben, Nashua and Yonkers.
art. Beelsy had a passion for art. Often times she would draw while answering phones at work. She went to school on the graphic arts internship that was given to her by her company.
Jim Halpert. Jim Halpert and Beesly flirted a lot. They enjoyed playing pranks on Dwight Shrute, the Assistant to the Regional Manager. Dwight was power-hungry and always looked for control whereas, Halpert and Beesly were much more laid back. A lot of the episodes focused on the pranks that were plyed on Shrute.
Receptionist. She aspired to be an artist. Her fiancé, Roy, did not support her aspiration whereas, her co-worker, Halpert encouraged her to follow her dreams.
Jenna Fischer. "The Office" (2005) followed a group of employees that worked for a paper product company. The employees were all led by an arrogant and mostly clueless manager named Michael Scott. All of the employees tried to do their job the best with the management given to them. She went to college and her dream was not to remain at her job forever. She was engaged to a Dunder-Mifflin warehouse employee named Roy but broke it off.
Stapler. Dwight is upset that his stapler has been suspended in green Jello. Michael tells him that he has to eat it out, Jim states that he has always been Dwight's "biggest flan" and Ryan tells Michael that he should "put him in custardy".
Mose. We are first introduced to Mose in the episode "The Initiation" where Dwight takes Ryan to his family's beet farm. Mose, wearing a t-shirt labeled "FEAR" jumps out at Ryan in an attempt to scare him.
In the episode "The Job", Dwight briefly assumes the position of regional manager. What color does Dwight paint his new office? | The Office - "BobbleHead Joe"
|
Black. Dwight believes that black is an intimidating color. In previous episodes, Dwight's girlfriend, Angela, states that she believes orange and green are both whorish colors. Nothing was said about the color blue.
Banging his fists on the podium. Dwight first pounds on the podium 3 times and then barks "We are warriors!" (Jim gave him some pointers on how to deliver a good speech!)
In the episode "Drug Testing", Dwight reminds the tester that they've met before. What does he tell her to jog her memory? | The Office - "BobbleHead Joe"
|
"My urine was green". The tester says "Oh, right. How are you?" Dwight states "I'm all better now."
Staples. In the episode "The Return" Dwight is shown working for Staples. Eventually Dwight returns to Dunder-Mifflin.
Beets. It is mentioned in several episodes that Dwight lives in a large farmhouse on his family's beet farm.
"That's a ridiculous question". This is from the episode "Product Recall". After Dwight says that the question is stupid, Jim retorts "Wrong. Black Bear." to which Dwight replies "Well that's debatable." It takes Dwight a few minutes to realize that Jim is not only making fun of the way he talks, but is also dressed like him! Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!
Dwide Schrude. In "Drug Testing" we learn that Dwight's father's name was Dwight Schrute, and his grandfather's name was Dwight Schrute, but his great-grandfather's name was Dwide Schrude. He was Amish.
He moved to the Scranton branch after the Stamford branch closed. Due to a temper flare, he was ordered to take anger management classes. Who is he? | "The Office" Characters
|
Andy. Andy Bernard also had some friendly competition with Dwight over who was Michael's right-hand-man. Jim then played a prank on him by hiding his cell phone in the ceiling and calling it (Andy got angry and punched a wall in frustration).
She used to have the number two position with Dunder-Mifflin until she was fired. After a breast-augmentation surgery, she dated one of her former employees. Who is she? | "The Office" Characters
|
Jan. Jan Levinson got fired from the number two spot and started dating Michael after her breast augmentation. She tried to get her job back through legal means but as usual, Michael messed it up. The risque picture of her at the Sandals Resort with Michael also circulated around the workplace as well.
She is a "recovering alcoholic," brought her son to "bring-your-daughter-to-work day" (he was suspended from school), and gave her boss a little "show" at the Christmas party. Who is she? | "The Office" Characters
|
Meredith. Meredith Palmer is the red-headed office worker with a weakness for alcohol. She flashed Michael at one of the company Christmas parties and was seen canoodling with the captain of a ship on the "Booze Cruise" episode. Although her character doesn't have a lot of air time, she still cracks me up.
He is one of the well-known salesmen. At the beginning of the third season, he was transfered to the Stamford branch only to return back to Scranton. He has a friendly rivalry with another well-known salesman. Who is he? | "The Office" Characters
|
Jim. Jim Halpert also had a long-standing crush on Pam and finally got to date her at the start of the fourth season. He has a friendly "rivalry" going on with his deskmate, Dwight and has played several pranks on him. Prior to leaving Scranton for the now defunct Stamford, CT branch, he took some of Dwight's stationary and faxed them to him saying that the coffee was poisoned (addressed from "Future Dwight), which resulted in Dwight "saving" one of the salesmen as he was about to drink his coffee. In the first episode, Jim encased Dwight's stapler in Jell-O.
This individual works as an accountant and was also a member of the "Finer Things Club." He is also the only gay Scranton employee. Who is he? | "The Office" Characters
|
Oscar. To show his tolerance of gays, Michael once had an awkward moment with Oscar in an episode during the third season. Needless to say, Oscar was outraged and complained, however, the company gave him three months' vacation to keep him from filing a lawsuit.
She comes off as arrogant, snobby, and stuck up. She works with the accounting department and loves cats. Who is she? | "The Office" Characters
|
Angela. Angela Martin is the crabby accountant who has come across to her co-workers as rude and hard-to-please. She even tried to hold her own office party while Karen and Pam had another one across the room that was a lot more fun than hers.
She's the pretty receptionist who was once engaged but got cold feet. After some flirtation, she is finally dating one of the salesmen in the Scranton branch (who had a crush on her when they started working together). What's her name? | "The Office" Characters
|
Pam. Pam Beesley is the receptionist who used to be engaged to Roy, a warehouse worker. After three seasons, she is finally dating Jim, the guy who had a longtime crush on her.
He used to be a temp, then got a job as a salesman but never sold one ream of paper. However, that never stopped him from becoming the number two guy in the business. Who is this man? | "The Office" Characters
|
Ryan. Ryan Howard moved from a temp position to the number two spot after Jan Levinson was fired. He is now the current "babysitter" to the Scranton branch. He was also the same individual who burnt some food in the microwave, causing the fire alarm to go off. As a result, Dwight jokingly sang "Ryan started the fire" to the tune of a famous Billy Joel song. He was also arrested for fraud after asking Jim to re-enter the sales stats.
This guy is little bit of a nerd. He lives on a beet farm, has a cousin named Mose, and once froze his girlfriend's sick cat (out of mercy). Who is he? | "The Office" Characters
|
Dwight. Dwight Schrute, the proverbial brown-noser to Michael Scott, is the "assistant to the regional manager" even though he claims he's the "assistant regional manager". He's quirky and funny when he tried to get a bat out of the office and when he rounded up his co-workers during a "fire" (one of the employees burnt something in the microwave).
Hunter. From the very first episode that Hunter, Jan's administrative assistant, was in, Michael Scott was jealous of him, and as events unfolded Michael picked up on several clues that Jan and Hunter may have had at least a one night affair. The possibility, and Jan's personality, is best hinted at by her product description of her "Hunter Green" candle: "This youthful, firm scent will leave your mouth watering. While designing this candle I felt like a college girl again. Just as Eve was tempted by a decadent apple, you'll be tempted by the most erotic scent of my collection, 'Hunter Green.'"
When the Stamford branch closes, a number of employees transfer to Scranton. One of them, Martin Nash, is an ex-convict. Dunder Mifflin receives a salary subsidy for employing him. What crime had he committed?
| Guest and Intermittent Stars from "The Office"
|
Insider trading. When Martin's past is revealed, Michael at first goes way overboard in pretending to trust Martin. However, Martin's tales of how cushy life was at his minimum security, white collar crime prison make the employees of the Scranton branch declare that it sounds better than their life at Dunder Mifflin. So Michael creates a skit with him playing "Prison Mike" to convince the staff how terrible prison is. The Martin Nash character is played by Wayne Wilderson, an actor who has appeared in guest spots in numerous TV shows. If he looks familiar to you, it might be because he has a very successful career in commercials, including for Wendy's, Reebok, Toyota, Chevrolet, Mitsubishi, and PlayStation.
We know that Amy Adams guest starred as Katy Moore, who sold her purses in the Scranton branch in the "Hot Girl" episode, and who subsequently dated Jim Halpert. But what was the occasion during which Jim broke up with her? | Guest and Intermittent Stars from "The Office"
|
The Booze Cruise. During the "Booze Cruise" episode, when Roy announces a date for his and Pam's wedding, Jim realizes that his relationship with Katy is not serious and does not have a future. He breaks up with her, spurred on no doubt by how crushed he is over the date for Pam's wedding being set. That same episode, against all common sense, he confesses his feelings for Pam to Michael, a move that will come back to haunt him in a later episode.
Steve Carell. Carol Stills is played by Nancy Walls, real-life wife of Steve Carell, who of course plays Michael Scott. My favorite Carol-Michael moment came when Michael sent out his Christmas cards with a photo of Carol and her children and, Photoshopped in, Michael himself. He had replaced her ex-husband with his own photo, without her knowledge, and turned it into his card! At that point, Carol broke up with Michael.
