While they do not seem to be produced in the US, they are available there: "While Vegemite has never been popular in the US, it can still be purchased at supermarkets that stock imported food items." -from

I don't believe there is a direct equivalent in the US. In Australia, there is a product called vegemite which is altogether blander than marmite.
