Being a Kiwi, I'm happy to answer this and indeed, have previously consumed product from this brewery.

Mac's Brewery in Nelson (a city at the top of the South Island) began in 1980/81. It was established by Terry McCashin and produces a range of beers and ciders. The products are widely available throughout the country.
