There are many long-living species but only one is considered to be truly immortal, Turritopsis dohrnii, the humble Jellyfish. The Jellyfish continuously cycles through the five stages of life from gamates to medusae and back to gamates again. Even dead jellyfish will have cells that will become benthic polyps to rejoin the cycle.
