Also known as a Halligan bar, it's a multi-purpose tool containing a claw (fork), blade and tapered pick. It is primarily used for gaining entry to buildings, rooms and vehicles, but is also regarded as a versatile tool for all sorts of fireground tasks.

FDNY's Hugh Halligan designed the tool back in 1948.
