An annoying Spanish sounding brass fanfare seemed to dominate the 2023 Rugby World Cup. Where did it come from?

The tune, which has no lyrics, is actually the start of pasodoble called En er mundo which was written by Jesus Fernandez Lorenzo and Juan Quintero Munoz. According to Jean-Roger Delsaud of French rugby newspaper Midi Olympique: "At the end of the trumpet sound, everyone shouts 'Olé', which is a typical Spanish shout heard especially during the 'corridas' (bull fighting) when the torero is doing a very good 'pass'."
