The Statue of Liberty.
On June 17, 1885, the Statue of Liberty arrived in New York harbor aboard the French navy ship Isère as a gift from France to United States meant to symbolize friendship.

To transport it, the 151-foot tall structure had to be disassembled into hundreds pieces and packed into crates so that it could fit into the ship.
