Sexy primes are prime numbers which differ by exactly 6 (sextus in Latin being the reason for the name). For example, 5 and 11 are both primes, and 11-5 = 6, making them a sexy prime pair. You can also have sexy prime triplets (such as 5, 11, 17), sexy prime quadruplets (5, 11, 17, 23 is the smallest) and sexy prime quintuplets (the only one being (5, 11, 17, 13, 29). Sexy prime sextuplets are impossible, but the explanation requires some tedious (or fascinating, depending on your point of view) algebra.
