British runner Jasmin Paris, an ultramarathoner, was the first woman to complete the Barkley Marathons. She did so 99 seconds before the time limit was due to expire.

The Barkley Marathons is an annual trail race in Frozen Head State Park, Tennessee, USA. The race course varies, but totals 100 miles (160 km) which has to be completed within 60 hours.
