What compound is added to the diet of farmed salmon to ensure they have pink-coloured flesh?

The main compound added to their diet is a carotenoid called astaxanthin which gives the flesh a pink color. In the wild, the salmon eat crustaceans and algae which both have the compound and give the salmon its natural color. Without this compound, the farmed salmon would look rather grey, yuck!
