The "Bone Wars", also called "The Great Dinosaur Rush" was between paleontologists Edward Drinker Cope and Othniel Charles Marsh.

Both scientists have their own named summit . Cope Butte, elevation 3754 ft.
and Marsh Butte 4721 ft. are in the Grand Canyon.
