Escuse my post on 2010--I meant to put it on 2012.
How about those Huskers--Nebraska vs OSU Ohio on Saturday night. Any chance of a victory?

2 SEC undefeateds won't be after today, as undefeated Georgia visits undefeated South Carolina and undefeated LSU meets up with undefeated Florida. Both should be good games.

Nebraska needs to play all 4 quarters this week if they want to beat OSU, which they can do.

Clemson v Georgia Tech this matchup of a South Carolina and Georgia team brought to you by the ACC.

Notre Dame gets Miami (FL) this week and Geno Smith goes down to Texas for a big time game of undefeated teams.

The offense performances should be showcased in the Arizona at Stanford game.

35-7..That's SC's largest margin of victory ever vs Georgia.

SC looked good, as did WVU again.

My 'Noles disappoint yet again starting out great and losing to a team they should beat. Figures.

South Carolina has the possibility of going far this year. Next two games will be the deciding factor. Both games are away. Ouch! Love the D. Love the run game.

I'm not really impressed with West Virginia. I'd like to see what they can do with a team that fields a decent defense.

The most overrated team in the nation will still be overrated come next poll. Notre Dame. Please. The only two teams they played so far this year that were ranked were also overrated!

Go GATORS!

Blew my mind what happened at Carter–Finley Stadium today.
FSU is still the best bet in the ACC.

Buckeyes looked good in a shootout with Nebraska.

That was all the chatter coming into this game. What was WVU going to do against a real defense that has a defensive line and secondary that will mostly be playing in the NFL. They passed for 268 and ran for 192 on that defense. I'm far from a WVU fan, but the ease of moving the ball against Texas was impressive, also considering Texas recovered one fumble in the end zone, and also cause another fumble on WVU's 10 yard line and didn't convert to points.

I think the real test for WVU will be Kansas St. KState ranks 45th in total defense (coming into this weekend) and can score with anyone. That game is in two weeks.

Say what you will about the Irish offense, but that defense has been dominant this year. Say what you will about their opponents being overrated but in the last three weeks Michigan State scored 3 points, Michigan 6 points and Miami (FL) 3 points, that's dominant defense. Mighigan and Miami (FL) have been putting up massive offensive numbers in their games against non top 10 oppoenents. The defense is for real this year.

My Fresno State Bulldogs scored another win over olorado State. Derek Carr threw four touchdown passes, including two to Davante Adams, and Fresno State shut down Colorado State until the final moments for a 28-7 victory on Saturday night.

That OSU quarterback ran away with the ball and the game. NU did a great effort in keeping cool about it and playing the game. Too many errors--some players just don't get it.

So, Notre Dame has played the toughest schedule of any unbeaten team, but they're overrated? That makes sense. If anything, their body of work should have them ranked #1 so I would say they're underrated.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think they'll get through the year without at least one loss, but they've been very impressive. I would still give Bama and Oregon the benefit of the doubt based on the last several years, but you're just being biased, Boxjaw.

Feel free to look at who South Carolina, WVU and K-State have played to date and explain why they should be ranked ahead of the Irish. I believe you CAN make an argument for Florida.

I would take South Carolina anyday over Notre Dame. WV and K-State are befuddling to me as well. No biased attitude though. It's a fact that Notre Dame for the past few years always finds itself in the preseason top 25, and fade out (or burn out) before the season is over.

In the last six preseason polls, Notre Dame has only been ranked 2 times(2009,2011). It's not like anybody is ranking them in the Top 10 to start the year. It appears that you're just perpetuating the myth.

To be clear, I'm not saying ND is better than, or would beat, any of the teams ahead of them in the polls. My argument is that the Irish have proven more, to date, than any of them.

Notre Dame has been impressive except for quarterback play. I like Rees better than Golson, but I guess Golson is the "QB of the Future," or some such nonsense. I say let the future take care of itself, and worry about the present. They've got a horror of a schedule; even the unranked teams they play are pushovers. Don't know how the season will unfold, but it's nice to see Notre Dame playing like the Irish of old for a change.

I guess I should ask you what you prefer about Rees. I think he's a luxury to have as a backup. He knows the playbook, he's makes excellent pre-snap reads (audibles from run to pass and pass to run), but his physical skillset is limited. Golson has a much stronger arm, he's more accurate and he can escape pressure and make plays with his legs.

It's too easy for defenses to scheme against Tommy. Look at last year- Pitt, BC, Wake Forest, Stanford and FSU. Those teams took away the intermediate passing game, which effectively neutralized ND's offense. Tommy doesn't have the arm to spread teams vertically and he's not an option to pull down and run when the opportunity presents itself.

A lot of big games on Saturday. Notre Dame/Stanford, Texas/Oklahoma, South Carolina/LSU, but to be honest the game I'm most interested in? It's Texas A&M/Louisiana Tech. That might be a really fun game...explosive offenses on both teams. I'm interested to see how LaTech does against a "big conference" team.

Golson has better athletic skills, but makes some real bonehead plays from time to time. Rees is more the "steady as she goes" type. Notre Dame doesn't need a lot of offense, but they need to avoid turnovers and stupid plays. Big game today against the Stanford Cardinal. The defense has already come up big.

See what I mean? Terrible play by Golson in the first half. Bench him and start Tommy Rees in the second half!

I think Tommy would get killed against Stanford today. They made him look like a JV player last year. Everett just needs to get the ball out of his hands, but he's doing a good job of avoiding the rush. The O-line needs to step up as well.
