My Fresno State Bulldogs beat Nevada 52-36 . They are tied for the lead in the Mountain West Conference. They have a bye next week and will play Air Force the next week. Check out Robbie Rouse's statistics. The have won all their conference games except Boise. They also lost to Tulsa and the Ducks. Reply #181. Nov 11 12, 4:13 PM |

USC is one of the teams Notre Dame always struggles against, but I don't think they'll choke this year. Reply #182. Nov 11 12, 7:28 PM |

Kansas State has gone down, leaving just 2 eligible undfeateds at the top of the rankings. Oregon is in OT right now. Oklahoma got a last second win, in a game where the refs really got a WV fumble wrong, declaring it an incomplete pass. USC went down big early, climbed back but still fell to arch rival UCLA and lost their side of the Pac-12 to the Bruins, in a season the Trojans came in ranked #1. Reply #183. Nov 17 12, 10:38 PM |

As I was writing that last post Stanford topped Oregon in Overtime, leaving only Notre Dame as an eligible undefeated and the aforementioned Trojans can play spoiler to the Fighting Irish season next week possibly. These losses today once again put Alabama in a place to play for the National Title. Reply #184. Nov 17 12, 10:40 PM |

Man, Stanford's defense looked great tonight. Wow. They've beaten Oregon and lost to ND in OT by a controversial TD. Pretty impressive considering they were supposed to be having a down year. Wasn't surprised at Baylor putting up points, but was very surprised that KSU didn't put up points. Baylor's defense actually showed up tonight. If USC beats ND next week, that should make for an interesting BCS decision, so I hope it happens. :P Doubtful if Barkley doesn't play, but you never know. Reply #185. Nov 17 12, 11:39 PM |

Was shocked - but gratified - to see both K-State and Oregon lose yesterday. The Oregon loss to Stanford didn't really surprise me, but I was shocked at the way Baylor manhandled Kansas State. Notre Dame is ranked #1 for the first time since 1993. I hope we don't choke against USC next week. I'd love see Notre Dame play 'Bama for the national championship. The Irish really have the Tides' number; Bear Bryant couldn't beat us in four tries. I think ND is 6-1 all time against Alabama. Reply #186. Nov 18 12, 11:43 AM |

Ancient history dave. I thought you'd be one not to bring up former matchups as a template. By the way. I'm extremely ticked off at Oregon's loss to a splendid Stanford team. Notre Dame is number one. . . For now. Reply #187. Nov 18 12, 11:58 AM |

Watching the 60 minutes on College Football, interesting look into what drives some decisions, not that I am suprised at what does though. Reply #189. Nov 18 12, 8:00 PM |

BxBarracuda, I watched that too. I was disappointed though...it was a very poorly researched piece and didn't dive enough into the intricacies of the spending and money making. My thought afterwards was it was just a way to get football into the show since it follows football on Sunday night. Of course the story runs last, and that's the same thing they did a couple weeks ago interviewing Aaron Rodgers which was a superficial piece too. I had to laugh at the Michigan AD...talking about how they want to sell merchandise and give fans an "experience"...while conveniently leaving out that making money was really the most important thing. He should run for public office. Reply #190. Nov 18 12, 11:58 PM |

I don't think anyone who follows the sport was suprised at how much money Football brings into the athletic programs and schools in general, but those that don't know the sport might have learned some things. The Michigan AD was rather blunt and honest about things, which I thought was refreshing. Reply #192. Nov 19 12, 10:21 PM |

Boise State has quietly put together another good season, going 9-2, and their two losses were by a combined six points. They have to get by a good Nevada team December 1 to get another shot at taking down one of the big boys in postseason. Not bad for a team that lost the winningest QB in NCAA history. Hope they play a team from the SEC. Reply #193. Nov 19 12, 10:22 PM |

Florida State should really think about striking camp and join the Big 12. Anyone care to comment? Reply #194. Nov 21 12, 11:24 AM |

The ACC is only getting weaker. Being a FSU fan, I'd hope they would have been invited into the SEC...but they need to do something. 1 loss and because of their weak schedule, they are ranked behind 2 loss teams. They could even go independent and do better...although they wouldn't get the TV money they get from the ACC network. Reply #195. Nov 21 12, 2:27 PM |

Fresno State will play Air Force next. Here are the standings for the Mountain West Conference. As you can see, Fresno State's stats are very good. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/ncaa/standings/2012/mwest/index.html Reply #196. Nov 21 12, 6:10 PM |

My Fresno State Bulldogs beat Air Force for a share of the Mountain West Conference championship. They will go to the Bowl game either in Las Vegas or Hawaii. Boise had a bye this week but if they beat Nevada next week, I am sure ESPN will give them Las Vegas. Reply #197. Nov 24 12, 8:36 PM |

With Rival Florida already in SEC, I don't think that is the place for Florida State, though the Big 12 is a good idea, and would make sense with geography being thrown out the window for Conferences these days. The ACC didn't look good this weekend with their 2 best teams getting beaten by the 3rd and 6th best ranked SEC teams. The Big East looked worst with their two best teams being soundly upset this weekend. Reply #198. Nov 25 12, 5:31 PM |

South Carolina beat Clemson for the 4th straight time. Did it without starting RB Marcus Lattimore and without starting QB Connor Shaw. They beat them 34-13 last year w/o Lattimore. I'm satisfied. Reply #200. Nov 25 12, 6:54 PM |
