I havent yet read that series, but after reading that review, Jo, I definetly will if I can get ahold of it.

Don't have time yet, but soon I will be calling the library to get some more digital books. I set it up so that they don't send me titles anymore; I choose what I want and call them.

Would anyone really be OK with being sent up to twelve books based on what the computer "thinks" you like to read?

I got perhaps two out of those twelve (or six, at one time, in which case I was lucky to find one) I actually liked. I tried to read everything cos it's sent free matter for the blind.

Much better this way: almost like walking into a library and getting what you want (I did do that a time or two in the past)

Doctor appointment this morning. Pediatrician I do not like. And I'l leave it at that; have everything in my "journal," or whatever we choose to call it (most here will not touch a "journal," nor will they read one). Gotta devote all my energy to... lying? (Ugh... I said I wouldnt get into it, but I kinda did; we'r not condoning this, but we'r being pressured into it, and given good reasons why it is necessary "for your safety" to do so. I wont bring it up in here again, promise. Go to Hope System Speaks if you want an explanation/have a question. Got questions? I'l try to answer, unless told not to for whatever reason. And I wont dodge completely if told I cant answer something. That blog is our personal accountability thing, and part of therapy since we cant actually "see" a therapist, nor can we go onto websites for that due to this computer).

Appologies for writing so much. Anxiety does one or two things to me, and the second is I ramble nonstop

Just got home from the hospital, my wife fell in the front yard this morning and broke her ankle.

Mark, that's terrible! Did she slip on the dreaded ice? Is she home, or did they need to keep her overnight?

We are home, it was not ice, a misstep and a fall.

Try not to go outside unless you must, if you live where the polar vortex will hit.
The wind chills will be brutally cold.
If you must drive, take emergency supplies with you, just in case.

It hit, and I had no intention of going out in that. Still don't.
Heat has been on nonstop.
That thing is brutal.
We had about 3 or 4 inches of snow two days ago... then the winds smashed into us and we got some of those snow squawl things.
Sometimes, I really hate winter.

Just got back from the Orthopedist, so far it looks like surgery will not be necessary. So that's good news, they have her in a walking boot, and that's good news as well, she is more mobile now.

I just received a new note on an update on the death of Steph. In June they will be spreading her ashes in a town called Centerville, Washington. At that time she will be remembered with a small service. Her Granddaughter told me she will contact me when they have all the details.

Mark, that's great news! No surgery, and able to get around on her own steam :-)

Mike, it's nice that you have contact with Stephanie's family. I'm sure you'll keep us informed.

Yeah, Mike, it's great you're doing that.

And Mark, so happy to hear that. Hope all goes well. I seem to recall those things, or talk of them.

I tried and tried to read all of "The Dark Tower" series and couldn't get through one of the books. The one with that annoying talking train. Wasn't his name Blaine or something like that?

I loved Roland, "The Gunslinger" and I loved "The Drawing Of The Three."

And when I needed to really distract myself while packing when I finally went down for the night, I picked up that series and read all of it. I still didn't like the train, but I had to get through that book to finish the series.

Jazz, you watched "Secret Window"? Or did you read it? Or both? I thought you stayed away from films and books dealing with multiple personalities? And if this is true, I'd steer clear of "The Dark Tower" series, too.

But since I think you've mentioned other TV series you watch on A&E network, are you watching the documentary, "Many Sides Of Jane" about Jane Hart, a 28-year-old mother of two who lives in Boise, Idaho and allegedly has 9 other personalities? In Episode 2, we learn her Mother has joined a few DID support groups online, where she is asking questions, and receiving answers, about how to "relate" to her daughter. I'm wondering what you think of this series, if you are watching it.

I'm going to need some reading material for summer, and "Dark Tower" Series has been recommended for years.

First, I had no idea I had DID when I watched "Secret Window." I kind of had no choice *but* to watch it, since I was still living with my mother (and her boyfriend at the time, soon to be ex, and his two kids).

Do me a favor and ask the other question tomorrow in my blog (so, I guess that tells you I never watched it before, but the channel is replaying an episode tomorrow, least I assume it's a rerun if it's playing that early).
