Subject: Harry Potter vs. Twilight

Alright... time for the truth... Which books do you like best... Harry Potter or Twilight... why?

Personally, I love the Harry Potter books... Twilight however takes away from the traditional elements of a vampire... Vampires that sparkle? what the freak?! I think not! Boo on Twilight... what do you think?

Twilight is better in my opinion. :)

Harry Potter is good too, just Twilight is more my type of adventure...

A shame to compare the two.

Harry Potter is remarkably well written. JKR planned the series out well, with references to things such as Dumbledore not being all he seems in books 1 and 2. The books are addicting, and just brill.

"Twilight" is the same recycled story that has been done better a hundred times over. Edward watches Bella while she sleeps, without permission, and that's seen as romantic? Good god...

I have to say Harry Potter hands down no comparison.
Once I picked up Harry Potter the writing and characters jump off the page and make you feel as though this world of magic is real.

Twilight, I hard to force myself through the first book and could stand to do more. I understand why people would like the story but it is written so badly. It felt like reading those old GooseBump Novels.... are those still around?

Harry Potter shows how imaginative JKR is. I mean the concept of the scar, to begin with, and all those spells, and Hogwarts, etc. But Twilight is just a boy and girl, and the rest is known to all.

I prefer Harry Potter
After reading all the Harry Potter books, it seems to that Harry, Hogwarts and magic is really true and Harry's life was shared in a book series and Rowling just saying it is just a fanfiction

Looks like the majority prefer Harry Potter and I agree. Twilight's plot HAS been done a lot of times.

Never read Twilight, but by the look of the movie and plot, Harry Potter seems way better! The whole wizarding world and everything about it is so unique and amazing!

Harry Potter for me. I think the books are well written interesting. I am yet to read the Twlight series but it hasn't really hooked me yet.

The Harry Potter movies far surpass the Twilight movie(granted the Harry Potter movies aren't anything special but they're good.) The Twilight movie was without a doubt the worst movie I saw last year. I haven't read any of the Twilight books so I have to go with Harry Potter there too.

Harry Potter all the way! Twilight is OK to read once, but I would read HP again and again.

Are these books in the list of the most frequently challenged ones?

Twilight is mostly liked because of the love between Edward and bella. take that away, and it wouldn't have sold many copies.
