I boycotted all food and converstaion and managed to finish the 5th Harry Potter in 9 hours! But the longest took me a month and a half! Well, Obviously the Lord of the Rings. I've read it piles of times. But... I read most of it aloud to my son when he was about 15. He would read a page or two and I would read about 10 pages aloud. Every night for months and we got all the way through it. That was a big task. He and I have read all the Harry Potter books the same way but his reading skills have improved so much that he read most of the last one himself. I've read the Lord of the Rings trilogy. And I've also read all of Robert Jordan's The Wheel of Time Series which has 10 books that are all about 900 pages long. The longest book I ever read was Les Misérables. I can't remember how long it actually is, but it's long enough. Since I read it in termtime, it took me around 6 weeks to finish. I should try reading it in the school holidays and see how long it takes. Reply #19. May 07 04, 1:52 AM |
