I actually read "A Christmas Carol" all the way through. What's the longest book you have read all the way through?

Probably the longest must be The Lord of the Rings. I read it a few times in my teens, and I remember once reading it all through over a long wet holiday weekend (oh yes, I was a wild one!) I still have that same copy, and every so often I tell myself I'll read it again.

If you count it, the longest book ive ever read is tad Williams' "Mmory, Sorrow and Thorn". The three volumes total over 2000 pages. the last book alone is over 1000. Ive also read LOTR, and George RR Martin's :A Game of Thrones", which was 800+. Ive also read all the Harry Potter books. If collections count, I've read some that are 600+ pages.

I once read the unabridged Moby Richard.(Apparently I cannot use the proper title here.) I liked it so well I bought my own copy. The abridged version is difficult to understand.

The longest book I've ever read is Bryce Courtenay's "Tandia", the sequel to "The Power of One". "Tandia" is a total of 905 pages. I started LOTR but never finished it... Quicker to watch the movies, although even doing that takes long enough.

The Stand by Stephen King-1152 pages
(Someone said Gone With the Wind was 1200 pages-not even close! It is 719 pages long.) Right now I'm reading the 5th book in a series called The Outlander Series-one book is over 900 pages and the other four are over a 1000 pages.

Same as smurf-love, The Stand. Had to read it by headlamp in a tent while camping in Montana to finish it. :)

Smurf-love, how do you like the Outlander Series? I loved the first three, but lost interest in the most recent ones.

A couple of years ago I read Clancy's The Bear and the Dragon, which is somewhere around 1100 or 1200 pages long. I'm not sure if I can handle Executive Orders.
