My friends and family have all weighed in on this and told me repeatedly that it would be a wolf, which I'm flattered by as I love wolves. But if we were to really go by my personality, some member of Felidae is my patronus. Not sure how intimidating a common house cat (which is probably the most likely) would be, but I suppose it's the magic of the witch/wizard, not the size of the patronus, that matters. Reply #81. After thinking about this more, I've decided mine would definitely be an owl, most likely a great horned owl or great grey owl. If not an owl, a beaver. Just so people know, extinct patronuses are EXTREMELY rare, only one has been recorded (the person had a wooly mammoth), and magical creatures are rare, but not as much as extinct, Dumbledore (a phoenix) and Tonks (a werewolf because of Lupin) had one. Are we talking fictional or real animal totem? Fictionally I would want a dragon unicorn liger mix that spits out rainbows instead of fire....oh and jelly beans. But seriously I had a hawk and a real one swooped down in my backyard and almost ate my chihauhau, so now I tend to avoid totems unless they are really far away or in another country. Reply #85. Probably a tiger or a very large domestic cat. Just don't see myself with anything but a feline Patronus :) Reply #86. Dec 19 13, 5:37 PM |

Interesting question, what does the patrons tell us about the person? Are there any rules? What does JLR say about this? The only fact I know: There can be a connection to loved ones (Harry - stag, Snape - doe) Reply #90. Jul 16 14, 2:18 AM |

I'm a member of 'Pottermore' and, every so often, something new is added to this website. I'm in Hufflepuff, I have a Hazelwood wand and I've just discovered my Patronus is a Capuchin Monkey. Reply #93. Sep 22 16, 6:30 AM |

My patronus? I've always been told my spirit animal is an eagle, which is sort of like a patronus. Unfortunately, it's not a dragon. Reply #99. Jan 07 18, 11:46 AM |
