Sergeant York (1941). My favorite film for the past 30 or so years. Second favorite is My Man Godfrey (1936). I've seen both probably 50+ times each. Reply #182. Aug 28 20, 4:12 AM |

'The Pianist' directed by Roman Polanski and starring Adrien Brody as the title role. I could and have watched it so many times. I know pretty much all of the lines by heart and it's my favorite thing to imitate the characters. My favorite scene and the one I am best at imitating is the scene where Wladyslaw (Adrien Brody) and Dorota (Emilia Fox) go on a date. Reply #188. Jan 01 23, 5:51 PM |

"Field of Dreams" To me, it isn't a movie about baseball...it's abour family and healing rifts. (The book is much more about baseball to me) "All About Eve" great writing...and I do mean great...and fantastic acting. What a cast (It happens to be the first screen credit for Marilyn Monroe and she measures right up to Betty Davis, Celeste Holm and all the rest of that cast. John Q. Hey, I'm a sucker for a relatively happy envy and a family that truly loves one another. Exodus. I know the critics ;panned it. But I love it. Reply #192. Oct 27 23, 2:32 AM |

I'm not sure how it happened, but I watched the Back to the Future movies collectively 26 times this summer. Despite having seen these films probably a hundred times each already, I noticed new details and thematic connections. I never got burned out or thought "That's enough", and never once wished there were another film. This seems pretty clear evidence that I'll never tire of watching them. Reply #196.
