Subject: New Games and Changes

There have been a lot of changes in the last few days, what do you think? What are you happiest about, and what doesn't do too much for you?

For myself, Mind Melt and Pot of Gold are games I'll be playing frequently. I like the Bus Trip, but to play it meaningfully takes more time than I've usually got, so I'll just be dropping in on that one now and then.

I like the changes to Word Wizard and Who am I? and I'll be playing these regularly again. Fill Me In has never been a favourite of mine, and the improvements don't really change that.

I *love* the Champions divisions. I feel like it's possible to play competitively again in the games I've given up on because I can't get 10/10 in 13 seconds, or whatever. In Expert, where I actually am doing very well, I like being able to play topics I'm fond of, without feeling guilty that I'm stealing a win from someone else.

How about you?

I like the idea for the Bus Ride and Pot of Gold.
The Mind Melt is a neat alternative to Word Wizard.

The Who Am I? changes were all right because that was a game I was enjoying playing every hour (Even though I never won). The changes to the Word Wizard were awesome and got me playing that game (one that I never touched before the changes). In the Fill Me In game I was hopeless and still am . I applaud the Champions division in Who's The Expert? because in my favourite catagories, I would finish sixth or seventh always behind the same people.

I'm really enjoying the new Word Wizard. I always liked it but grew frustrated with all the archaic definitions. The Mind Melt game is excellent and I look forward to playing that one regularly.

The FMI game, it's nice to be competitive again, and like you I like the new champion divisions for the expert game. Overall, the changes have been great as far as I'm concerned.

I like the new Word Wizard too, I think I might start playing it regularly again. I don't have the badge for that one, as it was painfully difficult just getting 15/15 right, and I gave up playing because every single time I did manage to get them all right, I was beaten in the last few minutes of the hour by the same person time and time again (and it irked me that that same person had won the previous hour, and the hour before that, and the hour before that..) It's just not fun that way. I like the way it is now because it's still a challenge, but now seems like a conquerable challenge.

The Word Wizard changes have inspired me to have a go at the Monthly badge, so I'm really liking those. Before it was painstaking effort to play regularly, not anymore! The Expert champions division is also great, now I'm not worried about "stealing" a category away from someone when I've already had my turn. And how could I forget the beautiful new home page? :)

I finally got a chance to try the new Mind Melt game and I loved it. It's quite similar to the kind of questions we have to answer while taking entrance exams for various courses (mostly management) in India. I'm also chuffed that I won the Achievement Badge on my first attempt. :)

I also like the changes to Who Am I? and Word Wizard. Makes them more accessible and fun.

I agree with virtually everything agony writes.

I played the mind melt (un-timed) for the 1st. time today;I'll Return daily; it hard but rewarding.

I REALLY like the changes to Who Am I.

Same as agony for the bus trip.

Overall I think FT is continually improving, thanks to the efforts of editors, quiz makers and continual feedback.

I'm enjoying the new games & can see it now gives more of a chance for others to gain achievement badges. The bus does take a bit of time - I was on holiday last week so had the time to play it daily, now back at work I might find it takes more time than I have. All in all, good changes.

I love the Bus Trip. It's about time I learned something new and it still blows my mind to think the hardest one (so far) for me was the one on the USA. I'm still laughing about that one.

Bus Trip is great since you don't need to be fast, just reasonably accurate and you can take your time doing it.

Mind Melt will probably become a favourite since it is also quite different than any other game on the site.

I love all the changes on the site, but I still wish the "Who am I" was hourly. That is the one hourly badge I don't have and I thought that I might have a chance to get it now that the champion level has been added. I'm impatient to get it, and there's a long wait between games now. I do like haveing the easy and harder versions though.
