Stephen King has always been my favorite author. My mom had some of his books when I was a kid so I have liked his work since childhood! :) Reply #7. Jan 17 16, 10:53 AM |

Though I've said Robert Harris is my favourite author, there are some authors whose books I would always want to read because the quality of their writing is so good - George Orwell, Graham Greene and John McGahern. Reply #15. Jul 18 16, 3:54 PM |

P.S. I have experienced disillusionment with some of my favourite authors after reading their biographies. John Steinbeck and Graham Greene were not particularly nice people it seems. It did not affect the quality of their writing. Reply #16. Jul 18 16, 3:57 PM |

Sylvia Engdahl. She's the only author I've ever written to. She wrote back, and she autographs all books she sells through her website and ebay page. I love her mix of sci-fi, fantasy, and philosophy. She's written ten novels, and I read and liked them all--Enchantress from the Stars is one of my favorite books. Reply #17. Jul 21 16, 4:59 PM |
