Subject: Going, Going, Gone Challenge - COMPLETE

Sometimes, before you even know it, the titles for a Lounge Challenge have all been claimed before you can even make it to the board to pick one. This time around, our titles will begin with either 'Going' or 'Gone'.

For this challenge, you can claim one of the twelve titles beginning with 'Going' or 'Gone' or, alternatively, create your own to be added to the list below. New titles that you decide to write can only be added until April 30, otherwise, that opportunity is (ha) gone. You may only claim one quiz at a time; if your previous one goes online you may collect another and keep (ha) going.

Hi editors, first of all the quiz is very easy for children to play, so the category is right. I discussed my idea to an editor before I started to write. He told me that, " idea is fine and if it is as per as guidelines, it would be accepted." When I asked him can I write second quiz 'Going Back to School Again' using elements symbol b/w atomic number 11 and 20, he said, "Yes you can if you submitted quiz is accepted and if it as per as guidelines." The quiz was then accepted today. I think if the quiz is accepted by an experienced editor, it would have been as per as guidelines.

I can see Looney_tunes had already played the quiz before you and he had not put any notes to me, so I think the quiz may be fine.

Also agony once told me that if a writer convince editor that his quiz is acceptable and fair even if it is not meeting guidelines it can be accepted. Whether I did not do that, I had not convinced the editor, it was accepted!

There's no need to patrol for allowed or disallowed questions. In many cases our authors will speak to editors about special cases, and these cases may vary from category to category. If a quiz goes online, it means an editor has seen it, and if it goes online with its questions intact, then it will have been allowed.

We are more than willing to bend the rules for special circumstances should it suit the quiz. That said, editors reserve the right to be able to determine if a question is too simple or too crazy or too repetitive and, if that's the case, we will discuss it in private with the author in question.

Angikar - if a quiz is online an editor has approved it. It is not really your place to query editorial decisions.
