I generally don't play Word Wizard much anymore since I won Word Marathon a few years ago, but it happens that Word Wizard was selected as one of the Team games this inaugural month in the new team competition for League C, which my team is in, so, being a loyal team player, I am playing Word Wizard a lot more than is normal for me this September. Maybe, just maybe I will get the *one* eleven-letter word I need to upgrade Word Weaver (to Tier 4, Gold Star). But I'm not changing my usual strategy. I don't try to force eleven-letter words. I take what the game gives me, as long as it is eight letters or more. So today, I submitted groundhog, a nine-letter word, pretty typical for me. And I am rebuilding my letters again. We'll see if the right alignment of letters comes for me this month. Reply #101. Sep 05 19, 8:32 PM |

Here's a curiosity: I have eight good letters, and a decent mix of vowels and consonants GLADROAD and I can't make a six letter word from them! Reply #102. Sep 06 19, 3:12 PM |

Wow...twice in three days. I had only a C to draw a WW-legal word (there were many other options but none WW would accept) from aeiiofnnrrt. And I got it, to make INCINERATOR. I'm feeling especially happy not to have seen a JQXZ in three days -- that is probably 30 games or so. Reply #104. Sep 08 19, 7:47 PM |

The reverse of that feeling when you have 11 good letters and draw the Q is when you have ten good letters and draw the 11th you need without realizing it. I thought I needed an O for invigorate but got an A. I realized I had a double G not a single G, and 'variegating' popped out at me. 81 down and 19 to go... Reply #105. Sep 20 19, 1:35 AM |

Word wizard's definition of 'immortality' is 'perpetual life after death'. What? Immortality means exemption from death - everlasting life as any dictionary will tell anyone. The word itself gives you a clue since mors is Latin for death. The im part means 'not' or 'opposite of' Reply #106. Sep 26 19, 11:26 AM |

I had a decent run of letters till yesterday, then in the space of six hours I played two four letter words (and spoke a few others). Those words were JINX and EXEC. .. so you can guess what those letters were like. Good news was that the next few letters let me get to GESTATIONAL. 90 down, 10 to go... Reply #107. I think I'm going to do something in an hour or two I've only done once before -- namely play the same word twice in a row. By a curious coincidence all four words involve a Z. I played WHIZ consecutively; this time it will be ZARF. Reply #108. Nov 05 19, 8:22 PM |

I finished up playing Faze instead, only to pick up the Q. The machine doesn't have a sense of humor, instead it is clearly diabolically possessed and I need a good spell for exorcism. Reply #109. Nov 06 19, 10:26 AM |

Less than 24 hours till the next Z. Why not a J and X as well? They must feel slighted. Reply #110. Nov 07 19, 4:08 PM |

99 and counting! When I'm working at home that lets me play rather more Word Wizard than I should. So I went up to 99 11 letter words this am. (Just one Q with no U...but I got rid of it with QADI then picked up a nice string of letters, ditched an O for an R and got NEARSIGHTED. Hopefully it will be 'centenarian' next Reply #111. Made it! Orientalist may not be the most glamorous of words but it will do for number 100. Reply #112. Dec 29 19, 7:52 PM |

There must be a fault with the programming of Word Wizard. I too keep getting the letters V, X, Q, F and J. I had three Vs and two Qs in my previous run of 12 letters. I've got two Qs and a V again now. Can anything be done about it? Reply #114. Jan 25 20, 6:34 PM |

Yes, Kenners. Trade for some vowels. The letter distribution is not set up according to how Scrabble put tiles in a game. It is not set up according to usage in the English language. Words we are allowed to play are not according to Scrabble rules. Right now I've got Q, V, J and the rest are Os and Es. Unlike some people, I don't mind making low point words so I'm going to make Jove and play another game. Reply #115. Jan 25 20, 10:12 PM |

has anyone noticed that IIs tend to travel in pairs. I was confident that having got one I I would get a second one on my next go. And I did; three is too many. Reply #118. Feb 14 20, 8:08 AM |

Well this might be a record. With nine decent letters I got X L X. I decided I had no choice but to swap out all my consonants; that left me nine vowels, so/ I got rid of four, and played a new game...and got an X. That makes three Xs in four hours. Beat that... Reply #120. Feb 15 20, 8:21 AM |
