As the Lounge's Anniversary Month nears its end, and by popular demand, it's time for a new crossword challenge!
What we are looking for this time is a dozen "American-style" crosswords. What's that you ask?
A fully-crossed (American-style) crossword is one in which every letter in the completed grid is part of two answers, one Across and one Down. There are no 'unchecked' letters. Here is a recent example.
When constructing such a puzzle, it is important to double and triple check to ensure that every word in the grid has a clue, as words will 'fill in' in one direction as you enter clues in the other.
To keep it interesting, we'll ask for at least six of the puzzles to be in a category other than General.
There's no need to "claim" anything, just get your puzzle(s) online and post them in this thread when they are.

As I'm working through these in the queue, I'm finding that even our best authors are sometimes not catching all the missing clues. One tip that I have for catching these is this, use the See How It Will Look function. If you click on a square and it doesn't highlight a word in both directions, you're missing a clue. If you open that in a different tab to the crossword builder you can work back and forth and make sure all your clues are there. Reply #21. Aug 05 19, 1:52 PM |

Kyle will update the header when he's able. Meanwhile we have four General puzzles, from 1nn1, zorba_scank, leith 90 and Creedy. We also have two Music puzzles (pollucci19, CmdrK), one World (1nn1), one People (bernie73) and one Entertainment (pollucci19).
