It's QuiWriMo and we want to help you guys find a bit of inspiration. We know some of you crossword writers love a bit of a challenge. This one is another new approach.
For this challenge, anyone participating must create THREE crosswords. Yeah, that's a bit blah, right? Just three crosswords? Sure; whatever. But we're not going to go so pedestrian. The goal is to create three crosswords, all the same size, but all with the same core theme.
For instance, let's say that the theme is 'water'. The goal is to create three different crosswords, each with a different take on water. And the catch is that all three need to be placed into different categories, so you could have a crossword about the Water Cycle in Sci/Tech, a crossword about the movie 'Waterworld', and a crossword about famous waterfalls in Geography. As long as all three are the same size, it works!
Here we have ten sets-- you can claim a theme and start constructing. You may only claim one theme at a time, but you can always claim more if you complete your set. HOWEVER, if you do, you have to pick three new categories you haven't done for the challenge yet. It's your challenge. ;)

The way I read it Leith is that "March" simply needs to be the theme for your three crosswords. Though I reckon there should be something (at least) in the intro to indicate what you're doing Reply #12. Nov 11 19, 2:06 AM |

From an editor's perspective: While there is no firm rules regarding this challenge other than three separate categories, there should be a) Something in the intro to introduce the theme b) Something in the intro to link the three together The easiest way to do the latter would be to have the "(same title" Part (1,2,3) " M2CW (My two cents' worth) Reply #14.
