It is with great regret that I have to inform you that Terraorca, one of the Chatboard regulars, died on 24th December 2020 as a result of the Covid-19 virus. Terraorca was an active participant on these boards, both on general issues and specific topics related to FT games and badges.

He also had some virtual blogs, one of which was about the weather; he was in fact a certified "severe weather spotter" in Ohio and as a result was interested in weather patterns worldwide.

Over the years, Terraorca was on a number of FT teams so will have been known to many of you. Please accept the Admin Team's condolences on your loss.

I am so sad to hear this. I enjoyed discussing various things with Mark on the boards the last several years.

I have been communicating with Mark on these boards for years. My condolences to his family, teammates, both past and present, and to all here on FT who have enjoyed chatting with him.

That's absolutely gutwrenching news, flopsy. He was so excited about going back to school for his degree and making a fresh start in life. Very sad. If you're in touch with his family, please pass along my sincere condolences.

What shocking news. Mark was a member of Pi for some time, he was a great family man and I know how much he had been enjoying working on his degree. Please pass my condolences to his family on such very sad news, I know he will be missed by his FT family too. RIP Mark.

Heartbreaking news. Even though I don't post a lot on the chat boards, I often visited his weather blog and other blogs that he posted. He was so enthusiastic about going back to school and learning new things - something I admired deeply. Please convey my deepest condolences to his loved ones.

So sorry to hear this sad news. I played on a few different threads Mark contributed to and I know he used to post on the blog 'Nasty Goes to the Match. He enjoyed watching English football and was an Arsenal supporter.
He will be a big miss on this site.
My condolences to his family, friends and team.

He was a valuable member of our community, and it came as quite a shock. I hope it's some comfort to his family to know how much his absence will be felt, here.

Well that’s a downer alright.

I’m not sure whether any of terraorca’s family will read this but please accept my condolences and thoughts. There aren’t many regular contributors to the chat boards anymore and he was definitely one that had plenty of thoughts and insights to give. There is plenty of Terraorca all over these chat boards.

Sad news. He always came across as a fundamentally decent person, which is probably all that most of us can aspire to.

I haven't visited this chat board as often as I used to so I'm a latecomer to this news which is quite shocking. Terraorca sometimes commented in response to my comments on this chatboard and he seemed like a really nice guy and it was clear how much he was enjoying studying for his degree. It's the news we never want to hear about our funtrivia colleagues. Covid is a terrible disease.
Condolences to his family.

I do post on the chatboards and so I did not have the privilege of knowing Terraorca.
However, I wish to pay my respects and pass on my condolences to his family and friends.

Just seen this thread. I didn't know Mark personally but was often matched up with him on Duels and always found him a tough and worthy opponent. Deepest sympathies to his friends, family and teammates x
