1 What 'white witch' makes a reappearance in the opening of the episode to wish the girls of Miss Robicheaux good luck?
Answer: Stevie Nicks

Shortly before the remaining students of the coven are expected to perform the Seven Wonders to determine who is the Supreme, Stevie Nicks arrives to sing the song "Seven Wonders". All the while, the girls partake in a few final moments: Misty twirls in the greenhouse while bringing plants to life, Zoe speaks an incantation to raise her bed off the floor, Madison takes a candlelit bath, sparking the candles herself, and Queenie tries to speak to Nan in the afterlife. As the four descend the stairs they don shawls (a la Stevie) and she wishes them luck before heading out the front door.

2 What does Papa Legba demand of Marie Laveau?
Answer: An innocent soul

Fiona pours a distraught Marie Laveau a drink. Having been the only survivor of the massacre at her salon, Marie doesn't know how to feel. Being three hundred years old, she knows how it feels to lose the people around her, but she's more touched by Fiona's kindness. She's found an equal and a place to go in a time of trouble. They acknowledge that they have much to talk about in regards to their business with one another and Fiona departs.
That night, Papa Legba appears to Marie Laveau urging her to hand over his dues-- an innocent soul. As a result, she has no choice but to break into a maternity ward, steal an infant, and flee the scene...but not without a little bloodshed.

Answer: A human heart

Queenie, now a member of Marie Laveau's voodoo cult, descends a staircase and heads under an overpass to find a scummy underbelly of New Orleans teeming with rats and homeless people. One of the men under the bridge gets up to attack her, but she uses her voodoo powers to hold him back, knocking him out as Madison and Zoe locate her and ask her to rejoin the coven. They watch as she takes out a knife and cuts into the man's chest, tearing out his dark heart to bring to Marie for a special potion. Queenie says that war is coming, and the Salem witches are likely to lose.

4 How many tattoos does Kyle have as a result of his 'reconstruction'?
Answer: Two

Kyle, heading to a tattoo parlor with his frat brothers earlier in the year, opted not to get ink. He told his friends that after school he was going to become an engineer and help the people of New Orleans, and if he walked into a meeting with a dumb tattoo on his arm, he wouldn't be taken seriously. Now, chained up in the greenhouse of Miss Robichaux's Academy, he realizes that both of his friends' new tattoos are on his body-- he has one of their arms and one of their legs.

Zoe comes into the room with Madison's gun behind her back.

5 In 1919, the Axeman demanded to the public that they spend the night playing what type of music to save their lives?
Answer: Jazz

Writing a letter to the people of the city of New Orleans in 1919, the mysterious Axeman vowed to claim his victims, one way or another, during his next passing through. He offered sanctuary, however, saying that he would give mercy and pass over any house playing jazz music in full swing by 10:15pm. If he found a house in the city that did not he would kill anyone inside.
At Miss Robichaux's the girls had a plan in mind. Seeking a way to demonstrate their powers and rise against the oppressive male murderer they decided to play opera, luring the Axeman to the academy and working together to stab him and seal his spirit away.

6 How many of Delphine's daughters conspired to murder her?
Answer: All three

On Halloween night in 1833, Delphine LaLaurie held a soiree at her New Orleans mansion, forcing some guests to go through her chamber of horrors. One boy in particular, a possible suitor of her eldest daughter, Borquita, was invited to feel around in bowls of disgusting entrails (pulled from her slaves, no less). That night, her daughters conspired to kill her to prevent her from inflicting any more harm on them or the slaves. Unfortunately for them, however, she overheard from the hallway and, that night, had the girls dragged to the attic to be caged and tortured.
On Halloween night in 2013, Delphine opens the door of the academy to find her daughters, dead, standing in the doorway. The building is surrounded by Marie Laveau's army of undead.

7 Misty Day stumbles upon a pair of hunters in the bayou. What does she do to their catch?
Answer: Brings it back to life

Out in the swamps of Louisiana, two alligator hunters find a catch and put it down with a bullet to the head. They return to their camp with the animal with the intent of hanging it up and skinning it, but when they arrive they find a woman, Misty Day, previously burned at the stake, walking around the edges of the woods. She tells them that what they're doing is all wrong; they're killing God's innocent creatures. One of the hunters draws a gun on her before she uses her power of resurgence to bring life back to the gators. Both hunters are killed; she watches one get pulled into the water.

8 What does Myrtle serve to the girls on the eve of their trials?
Answer: Caviar

Myrtle likens the girls' last supper to the Da Vinci piece of the same name and, oddly, seats herself in Jesus' position at the table (which is coincidental, as she rose from the ashes). Serving the girls caviar and champagne, she says that one of the girls will assume the supremacy by that time the next day. For some it could be their actual last meal. For the first time in their history as a coven, they will give all four the chance to achieve supremacy. Cordelia gives a small speech and tells them that their childhood at the coven is over; the Seven Wonders begins the following morning.

9 Where is the coven when Queenie returns to them?
Answer: A funeral

The coven, including Kyle, head to the graveyard to bury Nan who, as Fiona claims during the eulogy, drowned in the tub. The others are not aware that she and Marie murdered her as an offering for Papa Legba. As they begin to depart, Queenie drives up with Delphine on a leash; both of them survived the massacre at Laveau's salon and Queenie was able to use her magic to reattach LaLaurie's head and hand to her body. There is a great amount of dissent amongst all of the women present and they head back to the academy. Misty, who could have resurrected Nan, remains missing.

In Atlanta, Delphi Trust covers up the massacre led by Hank Foxx, Renard's son. He complains that his son will not be remembered by anyone else, and oddly, they need the witches to rebuild their corporation. When they do, they'll strike back.

10 Who does Fiona blame for Hank's insidious plot to kill the witches of the Academy?
Answer: Cordelia

Cordelia, Fiona, and Marie all sit in the kitchen discussing the previous day's events. Cordelia blames herself, but Marie insists that some of the fault is hers since she hired Hank to kill the Salem witches. She does admit, however, that Hank loved her and tried to protect her. Fiona, shocked by this news, takes her rage out on Cordelia insisting that she was truly, willfully blind and could've been responsible for single-handedly destroying the coven. Marie comes to Cordelia's aid. Fiona says that this goes much deeper than Hank; they need to find the hive. The doorbell rings.

11 What does Marie Laveau demand be done with Delphine's head?
Answer: It be burned

Fiona drops by Cornrow City with her recently-acquired cardboard box (containing Delphine LaLaurie's still-animated head) and demands a chat. Fiona spots the rest of the body in a cage, still missing a hand as well. Marie is amused by the idea that Fiona wants to talk about an alliance and refuses outright, mainly because the witch hunters they're all so worried about were hired by her to kill the coven. She calls Queenie in to take Delphine's head and burn it in the back yard while she sends Fiona away.

12 Who, in this episode, is forced to be 'cleansed' with bleach?
Answer: Luke

Fiona realizes over the next days that she's suffering worse than ever-- the cancer continues to wreak havoc on her body in the most painful way. She dreads telling Cordelia that she has cancer. Fiona thinks that love may be the best medicine-- the Axeman claims that they can spend a month traveling together but she's worried of decaying before his very eyes. She tells him that she'll stay alive to spite the others. One of the girls in the coven is coming into her own; she just needs to figure out which and stop them.

Next door to the academy, Joan tells Luke, still wounded, that he had no business going to the witch house for any reason. Now he's impure and he has to be cleansed. She forces him into the bathtub and, with bleach and cleaning products, cleanses him from the inside out.

13 Who locates the Ouija board?
Answer: Zoe

Zoe, searching for answers, looks through Madison's things; she's still missing. Amongst the belongings is a small bottle of booze and it rolls on the floor into the closet. Moving some clothes aside Zoe finds a secret panel in the wall, opening into a crawlspace filled with old items left behind by past witches. Among the belongings here, some put away by the witches who resided in the academy in the 1910s, is a Ouija board.

14 What blinded Cordelia?
Answer: Strong acid

In a bar in the city, Cordelia is attacked by a hooded assailant. Fiona asks to see her wounds and Cordelia moves her hands aside to show a face scarred by acid. The doctor at the hospital informs Fiona that they burned through the optic nerves. While her eyes are still intact, Cordelia is now blind.
Back at the academy, the girls look outside the window to see the army descending upon the front lawn. Zoe has the girls back up from the windows, close the drapes, and turn out the lights. Luke says that it all has to be a prank and he heads outside to ward them off. In her salon, Marie Laveau levitates and strengthens her bond with her forces.

In the present time, Spalding was about to commence a tea party with his extensive doll collection before he heard Madison and Fiona come in from their night out. He arrived in the doorway just in time to see Fiona slit Madison's throat with a knife. 16 What was Kyle's mother planning to do before Zoe called?
Answer: Hang herself

Heading to a jazz bar for a drink Fiona recalled her past triumphs in love as well, being able to woo men without fail. Unfortunately, with her powers waning, she started finding herself unable to attract. To combat her worries, Fiona makes her way to a doctor considering plastic surgery.
Zoe decides to visit Kyle's mother. With his death still a fresh memory, the two of them talk about the recently-deceased boy. His mother talks about his intellect and politeness and Zoe recalls his kindness. What his mother reveals, however, is that moments before receiving the phone call about her son's passing, she planned to hang herself. She decided not to only when she picked up the phone and spoke to Zoe. Zoe claims that she will see him again; he has not left them yet.

17 Where does Fiona hide Mme. LaLaurie upon finding her buried, but alive, in New Orleans?
Answer: Her bedroom

Cordelia wakes the girls of Miss Robichaux's for their morning gathering. Madison and Zoe are already awake; Zoe in particular is fretting over Kyle's death from a few days earlier. Madison tells her to stop looking into it-- because of what they did it's guilt by association anyways (despite his valiant attempt to stop his frat brothers). Zoe won't accept that idea.
Cordelia tells Fiona to join the girls for their gathering and, coming up to her door, notices an awful smell. Fiona agrees to join, but has to keep a tied-up Delphine LaLaurie hidden away. LaLaurie screams, but Fiona is quick to shut her back up, asking her how she remained alive after so many years.

18 Who informs Queenie of Marie Laveau's whereabouts?
Answer: Papa Legba

Queenie takes it upon herself to determine the whereabouts of Marie Laveau and, heading into the greenhouse, she finds a pool of blood. Opening a book of incantations, she decides that she must summon the spirit of Papa Legba and descend into Hell to find out the truth. She is successful, and when she arrives she finds herself in her personal vision of the underworld-- the chicken restaurant she worked at in Detroit. Papa Legba is at the front of the line; he warns her not to take too long getting back to her material realm, because if she waits past sunrise, she'll be trapped there forever.
When she wakes up, they have a chat about Marie. It turns out that LaLaurie, after having incapacitated Marie Laveau, dismembered her and moved her body parts to prevent her from returning. Queenie reasons that Laveau is already in breach of her contract with Legba, unable to deliver the innocent souls he requires...and that gives her an opening.

19 What happens when Misty meets Stevie Nicks?
Answer: She faints

Upstairs, Misty practices her shawl twirling as Fiona comes in. Misty says that even if Fiona tries to kill her, she'll be fine because she can come back from the dead but Fiona laughs this off. She claims that she doesn't understand the greatness of supremacy and that she's very likely the Supreme. She brings her downstairs to meet a special guest in the front room who, as a white witch, wishes to meet her. When they enter the room it turns out to be none other than Stevie Nicks. Misty faints when she realizes who she's speaking to.

20 Why did Misty Day have to leave her house in the swamp?
Answer: An assassin tried to kill her

In the academy, the girls, despite all distraction, discuss the plan at hand-- they need to end Fiona once and for all. They've lost Queenie but they all have to stand true. The doorbell rings and, with no servants in the house, Zoe answers the door to find Misty Day. Someone found her in the swamp.
The previous night, she was awakened by a newly-regenerated Myrtle Snow who, having been stepped on by an assassin outside, warned her of the possibility of a murderer in their midst. This gave them the chance to flee through the swamp when the coast was clear.
Cordelia hears the conversation in the hall and discovers that the witch is none other than Misty Day; she's welcome to stay in the academy. Misty also asks if her friend can stay...she's in the greenhouse.

Queenie and Delphine, heading into the kitchen, discover that all of the food has been eaten. That's when the two of them head to a fast-food drive-thru. Delphine is thrilled by the meal and claims it's the best food she's ever had. Delphine ends up telling Queenie that the other witches will never see her as a sister witch because she's black, which gets her thinking.

Cordelia, in the middle of the night, receives a call from a distraught Hank. What she doesn't know is that he's sitting on the floor of a hotel room, drinking, with his firearms splayed out in front. Unable to sleep, Cordelia wakes up and finds her way around the house. That's when she finds Madison and, when she touches her bare skin, she realizes that Fiona was responsible for killing her.

24 What does Fiona do with Bastien's head?
Answer: Sends it back to Laveau

Fiona awakens Cordelia due to the attack on the coven, bringing her to Queenie's room and telling her that a minion of Hell has been summoned by Marie Laveau. Cordelia blames her for visiting Marie Laveau; Fiona blames her for visiting as well. While they argue, Queenie slowly slips away and Fiona is forced to use her healing powers to infuse life into the girl. They decide that they can't take her to a hospital; they will handle everything internally to avoid getting a visit from the Council.
Fiona finds Delphine hiding in a closet; LaLaurie is surprised that Queenie saved her life and says that Bastien was there for her. She worries that it may return. Fiona says it won't. The next day, an unmarked box arrives at Cornrow City. When Marie laveau looks inside, it's Bastien's bull head, still alive.

25 Which city is Queenie from?
Answer: Detroit

Queenie once worked at a fast food chicken restaurant in Detroit, and in 2012 she grabbed Cordelia's attention when she made the news for burning a man's arm. Little did most know, she did so by sticking her own hand into a deep fryer and transferring the pain. Queenie was initially against coming to New Orleans but she ultimately did, being an heir of the Salem witch Tituba, the first woman to be accused of witchcraft. Cordelia tells them that they need to take care of each other to protect themselves before two homicide detectives are let in. They need to speak to Madison and Zoe.
The detectives know Madison was at the party involving the crash and question her about the event. Zoe, however, is also involved-- she went to the hospital and the boy she saw died shortly after in the same circumstances as her boyfriend back home. Zoe spills everything to them before Fiona has to come in and erase the detectives' memories. After dispatching the detectives, she gives the girls a talking to.

26 When Zoe arrives at Ms. Robichaux's Academy, who is not a student there?
Answer: Misty

Zoe steps into the academy for the first time to find an empty building adorned with ancient portraits and lavish furniture. Heading through the rooms, several figures in ornate masks appear in her periphery until one blocks her exit. Cornered, Zoe is covered with a burlap sack and brought to a table where the figures attempt to sacrifice her as a joke. They reveal themselves to be witches as well-- Madison Montgomery (a movie star), Queenie, and Nan-- before the headmistress arrives and introduces herself as Cordelia Foxx. She sends the others to get groceries from the van outside while she shows Zoe her room, informing her that Ms. Robichaux's Academy for Exceptional Young Ladies was established as a premier boarding school in 1790. It was taken over by witches in the 1860s, establishing it as a safe haven and learning academy. It has since dwindled in its tenancy.

27 Where does Queenie locate Delphine?
Answer: At her old house

Queenie finds Delphine at her old house giving, ironically, tours of the mansion in which she killed so many people. She makes attempts to dispel the truth of her past while avoiding the attic torture chamber and, when the guests leave, Queenie emerges to talk.
When Delphine took the tour earlier on, she was distraught at the treatment of her image and, to reclaim her house, she knocked out the previous guide. She takes Queenie up to the attic where the witch offers her a second chance; if Delphine offers her services to redeem herself she can repent for her sins. Delphine says that would never work because no one honestly does that. What she's learned from television over the past weeks has taught her that anyone could say anything and get off scot-free. When Queenie realizes that LaLaurie is not sorry, she stabs her in the neck with her own torture device. Now mortal, since Marie Laveau can not fulfill her end of Papa Legba's bargain, she dies.

28 Who is first to discover the truth about Nan's death?
Answer: Zoe

Zoe, still unsure about the circumstances surrounding Nan's drowning, heads to the bathroom, lights candles, and performs a seance with Kyle. There, she sees Fiona and Marie reflected in the bathtub, implicating them directly. When she tells Madison, there's little sympathy; Zoe tells her that they should've left her dead. What follows is an argument over Kyle and the two come to blows (with magic). Kyle ends up saying that he loves Zoe and Myrtle has to come in to stop the battle. Madison selfishly states that when she's the new Supreme, they'll all have to bow to her anyway.

Madison, jealous, asks Fiona when Eminem is coming for her and Fiona says she's doing this because Misty is definitely the Supreme. When the song ends, Misty and Stevie twirl together before Stevie hands off her own personal shawl as a gift, wishing Misty all the luck performing the Seven Wonders.

His father is not thrilled with the progress, or lack thereof, in New Orleans and he claims that Hank, their inside man, isn't even on the inside anymore since he's not living at the academy and he's siding with the voodoos. He also complains that he killed Kaylee, but made a huge mess in doing so, putting the company at risk. They admit to blinding Cordelia, but Hank is furious that they did this; his father is angry that he has feelings for her. Something must be done.

She and Cordelia reunite and discuss the hard times that have befallen the coven but Myrtle is optimistic. Since resurrection is a feat more difficult than the Seven Wonders, Misty may very well be their new Supreme.
Upstairs, Zoe sets Kyle up with a laptop so that he can learn some basic English. Madison tries to seduce Kyle and thinks that the reeducation is useless. Either way, they leave him to it to deal with the coven matters; they have a ritual to perform.

32 The Axeman brings Fiona to his apartment, except it's not really his. Where does he hide the body of the former tenant?
Answer: In the bathtub

Somewhere in the city, Fiona heads to the Axeman's apartment for the night. He compliments her frequently and turns on some jazz music before offering her a seat and a glass of bourbon. He lights her a cigarette and he thanks her for joining him. When she uses the bathroom and runs her hand through her hair, she notices some of it falling out; she doesn't notice the body in the bathtub, covered by a shower curtain. She shows her hesitance to letting her guard down and says that she's a wretched person before trying to leave. Fiona decides to stay; the Axeman's sweet talking is too much for her to resist.

33 With what does Zoe plan to kill Kyle?
Answer: Rat poison

Zoe, having stayed the night at Kyle's mother's place, finds Kyle hitting his head on the bathtub and worries about what she'll do with the reanimated boy. She decides to head to the kitchen to make him something and, searching the shelves, she considers ending his life with rat poison. Mixing the dish she returns to the bathroom to find that he's disappeared. The front door remains open but, as the sun is setting and it's Halloween, she has no chance of finding him.
Back at the Academy, Delphine zips Fiona up. The former fears for pranks and demons on Halloween night, but Fiona isn't worried at all.
Marie Laveau, meanwhile, plots revenge. Many years earlier, she and Anna-Leigh Leighton signed the truce between the Salem and Voodoo witches. Now, they have to fight for survival.

34 Fiona decides to make Delphine the slave of which girl at Academy?
Answer: Queenie

In the Dining Room, the girls discuss their sexual exploits and Queenie reveals that she's never been with a guy (or, rather, Nan reads her mind). When LaLaurie enters the room, Queenie calls her out for hitting her over the head with a candlestick a couple days earlier. Delphine, however, takes it upon herself to chastise the girl for being black saying that there are limits to her servitude. Fiona stops any altercations and informs the girls that Delphine is now Queenie's personal slave; there's nothing she hates more than a racist.
Out in the swamp, Misty listens to Stevie Nicks with Kyle who, now healed, is calmer and more coherent. She tells the reanimated boy that one can't really be themselves and come into their own until they find their tribe. When Zoe returns, she decides to take Kyle with her, promising that she'll be back. Misty, worried that she won't return, tries to dance her worries away.

35 According to common belief, the Supreme of a coven embodies how many gifts?
Answer: Every single one

Cordelia tells Zoe that witches are a dying breed. Those who discovered witch blood in their family bloodlines chose not to reproduce. Nonetheless, witches typically have a few natural gifts which manifest over their lives. Most only have a couple, but a Supreme, some say, has all of them. There is only one per generation. Back in the 1600s, many understood the dangers of their blood but these days no one knows of their ancestry. Unfortunately, some don't come to recognize their powers until it's too late and they fall by the wayside. Cordelia is there to help the girls not suppress, but harness their powers.

36 Who demonstrates that she has the power of Vitalum Vitalis during the Seven Wonders?
Answer: Madison

The girls, not dissuaded from the task at hand, continue to work at their Wonders with four still remaining. Their next one is Transmutation, the ability to teleport at will. The girls make this into a game, teleporting their way around the academy grounds playing tag. Cordelia urges them to play safe while they have their fun but Zoe, unable to control her power, teleports herself to the top of the academy's iron gate, impaling herself to the shock of the others. Kyle removes her and carries her to the greenhouse, prompting the girls to complete the Vitalum Vitalis Wonder by bringing her back to life. Queenie finds that she is unable to perform this one, indicating that she is not the Supreme. Madison decides not to perform the Wonder on Zoe, instead killing a fly and bringing it back to life (and despite the fact that Misty and Zoe brought her back to life). They realize that Madison will likely be the Supreme while she asserts that maybe Fiona had the right idea about leaving the coven behind.

37 What does Spalding want from Delphine in exchange for his assistance?
Answer: A doll

Fiona redresses herself after an evening with the Axeman while he plays the saxophone. He talks about taking her to a farm, the only ray of light in his dark world for many years, so that they can spend the rest of their days there together. She laughs about the idea; it's not her type of life. He says that she'll, otherwise, need to kill the next Supreme if she wants a chance at living on. When they do, he'll give up the axe and she'll give up the coven. She agrees to the deal, but only if he does one thing for her.

Delphine, disappointed that her victim isn't responding, realizes that Spalding has been watching her. He commends her for her work on the body and reveals that he was murdered. He also says that she needs to find her purpose or, else-wise, release. He has a way though: Marie Laveau has to die. Spalding feels that Fiona is confused, and the only way to protect her is if he can find a way for Laveau to die, so they have a common goal. He will provide her with the means if she retrieves an item for her...a doll.

Delphi grew out of an old carpentry business and now they deal with private equity. To bring them down, they decide to perform a ritual involving money, a maze, mice, and traps. 39 With what does Myrtle poison the other members of the council?
Answer: Monkshood

Myrtle invites the others in the council, Cecily Pembroke and Quentin, to the academy for a meal and serves them their palette cleansers before taking a seat. They apologize for having her burned at the stake and urge her to tell them all about Misty Day, which she does. In the middle of her conversation, however, the others show signs of stuttering and, in moments, they're fully paralyzed, unable to move whatsoever. Myrtle tells them that their melon balls have been dosed with monkshood; it causes human statue syndrome and their muscles are probably cemented solid. She criticizes both of them and then says that she must help the coven and Cordelia thrive. Taking the melon baller from the bowl, she scoops out one of each of their eyes. Using magic, she places them into Cordelia and grants her her sight again.

40 According to Cordelia, how many times has the Sacred Taking been performed?
Answer: Three

Myrtle and Cordelia lead the others to set up the Sacred Taking in the parlor. This ritual is meant to prime a witch for the ultimate sacrifice-- a Supreme must willingly give up her own powers and her life to pass the torch to the next possible candidate who, as Myrtle presumes, should be Misty Day. They will perform the ritual and, somehow, convince Fiona to end it all. Misty is worried about the role because she doesn't want the burden on her life, but Cordelia says that it is not her choice. Whoever is Supreme will need to rule, but first, Fiona needs to die. The Sacred Taking has only been performed three times in the coven's history, the first time in the Salem witch trials.
