Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
Answer:

Belier is the French word for ram. As such it is also used to describe a person born under the star (zodiac) sign of Aries.

We know that Berlin was the capital of Germany from 1871 to 1945, at which point the country was divided. It became the capital of the re-unified Germany in 1990. What you may not know is that a berlin was also a four wheel, two seat carriage that was very popular during the 1700s. Nowadays it is sometimes used to describe a different kind of carriage, a limousine that has a glass partition between the front and rear seats.

A biller is either a machine, or a person, whose task is to issue bills.

Binger... is not pronounced "bin-ger" but "binge-er". In other words, it is someone who indulges in a short period of "pigging out", be it food or alcohol. It may also refer to an activity done to excess, for example watching a whole series on television in a very short space of time.

The gerbil is a rodent, that has adapted beautifully to living in dry conditions. It can be found mainly on the continents of Asia and Africa.

Nowadays, a giller is an informal term for something that is ridiculous or extremely funny. Also, though not used so much these days, is that it referred to a "screamer" i.e. someone who shouts or yells a lot. Another meaning, that is obsolete now, is that it was used to describe a fisherman whose task it was to gut fish. As a consequence words such as fisherman, angler, trawler and caster were used as synonyms for giller.

A grille is an ornate screen, generally made of wire or metal that provided ventilation or could be used for discrete observation. To linger means to stay longer than necessary, to rebill means to issue another bill after invalidating an older one and to reline simply means to install a new lining into or onto something.

Lierne, which is a municipality in the Trondelag county in Norway, is also a term that describes a type of ribbing in architecture.

Nellie is an informal term for a silly person and a rather disparaging term for an effeminate male. It is also a nickname for two birds, the Sooty albatross (phoebetria fusca) and the Northern great petrel (macronectes hallis). Whilst proper names are not allowed in official "Scrabble" tournaments, Nellie is also used as a diminutive of the female names Eleanor and Helen. It became popular as a formal name during the 20th century. There have also been occasions when it was used as an informal name for the male name Nelson.

A bingle, in baseball, is a term for a base hit with the batter getting to first base safely. In Australia, it is an informal term for a car crash.

A bergen is a military style rucksack that comes complete with a frame to support it. It is also the name of a port city in the south west of Norway.

Finally, a rellie is an informal Australian term to signify a relative.
