Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which famous actor and director, who starred in the US TV sitcom "All in the Family" from 1971 to 1978, was murdered on December 14, 2025?

Answer: Rob Reiner

Rob Reiner was an American actor whose first role was as a hairdresser on "That Girl" in 1966. After appearing as a guest in several other television shows, he had his first major success playing Michael "Meathead" Stivic on "All in the Family", which aired on the CBS network from 1971-1979.

By the 1980s, he became an acclaimed director, producing several of the decade's greatest films, including "This Is Spinal Tap" (1984), "Stand By Me" (1986), and "The Princess Bride" (1987). 2. Which two iconic action stars of the 1980s and 90s had a rivalry for many years whereby they resorted to sometimes dirty tactics in an effort to outdo each other at the box office? In the 2010s they starred together in a number of films.

Answer: Arnold Schwarzenegger/Sylvester Stallone

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone were two of the biggest actors in Hollywood during the 1980s and 90s, and had a personal rivalry with each other that lasted for over 20 years. The pair first met after being seated at the same table at the 1977 Golden Globe Awards, whereby there was immediate bad blood between them; Stallone subsequently claimed that Schwarzenegger had "laughed" several times when Stallone's film, "Rocky," had lost for several of its nominations. During the 1980s, having both established themselves as major box-office draws, the feud escalated, with the pair trading verbal jabs about things such as the other's acting, accents, and alleged use of body doubles, and attempting to outdo each other with bigger weapons and more violence in their films.

The feud was humourously referred to in a number of both actor's films of the period: Schwarzenegger made fun of Stallone's muscles on a "Rambo" poster in the 1988 film "Twins," and in the 1993 film "Last Action Hero," Stallone's face was superimposed over that of Schwarzenegger as the Terminator in "Terminator 2: Judgment Day," whilst Stallone beat up a man resembling Schwarzenegger in the 1989 film "Tango & Cash" and mentions the "Arnold Schwarzenegger Presidential Library" in 1993's "Demolition Man." By the 2000s, the feud had died down, and the pair appeared on-screen together in four films in the 2010s: three in "The Expendables" franchise (2010-14), and "Escape Plan" (2014).
