Nick Park's Oscar-winning, plasticine animated movie enjoyed huge success in 2005. For three weeks in a row, the film was number one at the box office worldwide. 2. Where would the students attending the University of London go to socialise?

Answer: ULU

The University of London Union (ULU), situated in Malet Street in London, is where many of the student clubs and societies are based. With a huge and culturally diverse student population, and over 120,000 students participating in about 3,700 available courses, ULU is a hub of vibrant activity.
3. 'A Postillion Struck by Lightning' is the autobiography of which British film star?

Answer: David Bowie

The eighth of January is the momentous date that Elvis and David were born, albeit, twelve years apart. They are both undoubtedly superstars of rock music, however both of them have had questionable movie careers. Former British Prime Minister John Major, although brought up in Brixton, was born in Carshalton, Surrey.
5. In the 1973 film about Devil's Island, what did Henri, the Steve McQueen character, have tattooed on his chest?

Answer: Butterfly

6. Insurance salesman Lewis Waterman added an air-hole to which type of product before he patented it in 1884?

9. What kind of festival is held in the English town of Whitstable on or around July 25th annually?

Answer: Oyster

The Kent seaside town is not just famous for its oyster festival. In 1829, two of Whitstable's more inventive inhabitants, John and Charles Deane, designed the world's first air-pumped diving helmet.
