In The World of Stephanie Plum
Some of my favorite books are the ones featuring the character Stephanie Plum that were written by Janet Evanovich. Stephanie is fabulous but I also enjoy the other people. Do you know some of the delightful characters?

Lula: This is one of the most popular characters in the series (including mine). Lula is literally a larger than life ex-prostitute. She is Stephanie's assistant and sometimes bounty hunter (when Lula is not eating at her favorite chicken restaurant). She is loud, fearless, and loves questionable fashion. She hilariously squeezes into skin-tight, brightly colored ensembles.
Mooner: Mooner is a lovable hippie, who is almost always high and (not surprisingly) in a good mood. He is also a conspiracy theorist who spends lots of his time coming up with bizarre ideas and thinking about aliens. He and his laid-back attitude also join Stephanie in her endeavors, often as a rather unreliable, but fun, driver.
Dougie Kruper: Dougie is Mooner's best friend and partner in mischief. He is the town's most harmless, small-time neighborhood fence and spends much of his time supplying the elderly residents of the area with stolen household goods (like Metamucil). He is very friendly but his attempts to be useful often lead to very funny and bad decisions.
Sally Sweet: Sally is a tall, sweet-natured, cross-dressing rock musician and occasional school bus driver. He is dramatic, confident, and loves to be the center of attention, often arriving in elaborate costumes and makeup. He is a friend of Stephanie and helps in her crazy bounty hunter adventures due to his brilliant knack for cryptography and solving puzzles.
Tank: Tank is Ranger's trusted assistant and one of the most dependable people in the series. He is huge (hence his nickname) and looks like he could take on any situation. Yet he is surprisingly friendly and often soft-hearted. He is constantly dealing with the chaos that follows Stephanie. This is especially true with the inordinate amount of cars that Stephanie manages to demolish in her job duties.
Connie Rosolli: Connie is the office manager (and formidable gate-keeper) at the bail bonds place where Stephanie works. She is smart, tough, and very sarcastic. She keeps her desk drawer full of handguns and brass knuckles and also keeps the gang completely in line while managing to know every single piece of gossip in the town.
Harry the Hammer: He is a local mobster who is the father-in-law of the bail bondsman that is Stephanie's boss. He has a tough reputation (as it is famously said in the area he didn't get his nickname because he was a skilled carpenter). His street smarts and connections are useful to Stephanie, but he also manages to end up in some ridiculous situations along with everyone else.
Eddie Gazarra: Eddie is a dependable, perpetually exhausted police officer and the husband of Stephanie's childhood friend, Shirley. Poor Eddie often finds himself caught between doing his expected police work and dealing with the chaos that follows Stephanie everywhere she goes. He is practical and good natured, though, and usually deals with the mess with amusement.
Joyce Barnhardt: Joyce is Stephanie's longtime archenemy (their legendary feud kicked off back in high school when Joyce slept with Stephanie's then-husband, Dickie). She is beautiful, ambitious, and shameless in her quest to get ahead. That means she sometimes steals Stephanie's bounty leads or her love interests.
Bob the Dog: Bob is the dog of Joe Morelli (Stephanie's sometime love interest). He is big and incredibly friendly. He is also endlessly hungry and obsessed with eating anything from raw pork chops to whole birthday cakes. He has a talent for finding hidden snacks. Bob is very sweet natured and is one of the most beloved characters in the book (albeit a silent one).
Alex Barnaby and Sam Hooker are in the "Barnaby & Hooker" series.
Carl the Monkey is also part of the "Barnaby & Hooker" series.
Kate Appleton is the heroine in the "Wicked" novels.
Clara Kelly is in the Lizzy and Diesel series of books.
