Batman and Robin made their way down to Gotham City Police Headquarters in order to talk to Commissioner Gordon and Chief O'Hara about Mr. Freeze's latest scheme. While there, they noticed that Commissioner Gordon had on him a passenger list of everyone aboard the luxury liner. They took it from him and went back to the Batcave for analysis.

Batman and Robin went through some names of people who they knew were on the luxury liner to figure out if any of them might have established ties with Mr. Freeze. Batman and Robin located Mr. Freeze's hideout and a fight ensued. During the fight, Mr. Freeze's cohorts picked up Robin and shoved him inside a vaporizing cabinet. Batman rushed to his aid but was unable to fight off the man and he, too, wound up locked inside the chamber. Mr. Freeze pressed a lever to begin vaporizing both the crimefighters.
