Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. When in a chase, Victims have a few different methods to obstruct Family members from reaching them. One such method is shimmying through small cracks in the wall or going underneath a cover exit. Which Family member of the following can negate this by also shimmying?

Answer: Sissy

Sissy along with The Hitchhiker can shimmy through these narrow surfaces. They both have very poor damage output, so their ability to be more flexible in chase goes a long way towards offsetting this deficiency.
2. One way Victims can elude Family members is by vaulting over pallets. Only one Family member can deal with these. Which one?

Answer: Leatherface

Leatherface can do what he does best, rev up his chainsaw and destroy pallets. The rest of The Family does not have any sort of answer to them, apart from using voice communications to ask for assistance from a second Family member if the Victim is staying at the pallet they're using.
3. For the most part, The Family's stat categories are straightforward - Savagery determines how much damage they deal, Endurance determines how long they can continually sprint for. Blood Harvesting may be a bit trickier to explain. What does the Blood Harvesting stat impact?

Answer: Blood received from hitting Victims

Whenever a Family member kills a Victim, their Blood Vial will always be full regardless of how good or bad their Blood Harvesting stat is. They can also gain Blood from simply hitting Victims or, unsurprisingly, harvesting it from Blood dishes scattered around the map. Blood earned in those ways is impacted by the Blood Harvesting stat.
4. During the opening stages of the game only Leatherface can be in the basement, and he isn't allowed to leave either. Family members only gain free traversal in and out of the basement after what happens?

Answer: Grandpa is woken up

Grandpa can be initially woken up in a few different ways. The most common is the Victims simply making noise. Other ways are Victims escaping the basement, the Family feeding him enough Blood to reach level 1, or a player on either side disconnecting from the game.
5. Grandpa is an important NPC for both sides to take note of. He doesn't become especially powerful however, until he reaches his max of level 5. When reaching level 5, what can Grandpa now do?

Answer: Detect stationary (not moving) Victims

Until level 5, Grandpa is unable to detect the locations of any Victims who stand completely still. This would keep his efforts to show The Family their location at bay. At level 5, however, it will now be completely impossible to avoid being detected by Grandpa. This is a useful way to hunt down Victims who are being sneaky, primarily the last Victim left in a given match.
6. If a pop up reading "Grandpa is in danger!" appears on the screen of a Family member, what does it mean?

Answer: A Victim is close to Grandpa

Grandpa cannot be completely removed from the game in any way, and he does not have a health bar either. If a Victim gets close to Grandpa, their location will be revealed until they get out of his proximity and line of sight, whereupon their location will stay revealed for a very short period of time.

The reason the game warns about potential danger is that Victims can use Bone Scraps to stab Grandpa with, de-levelling him at least once, possibly more depending on perks. It also temporarily incapacitates him.
7. Right from the start of the game, on potential escape option is simply open and activated. The Victims will be able to simply stroll on out unless this crucial item is turned on beforehand, closing off the escape route. What item controls the 'Rear Exit' on each the Family House, Gas Station and Slaughterhouse?

Answer: A battery

By default, this battery begins the game turned off. It's up to one of the two Family members spawning above the basement to get to it and turn it on before the Victims can get to it. This task usually falls to The Hitchhiker or Sissy due to their high mobility and general proximity to the battery at spawn. However, if neither of them are around, someone still has to make it a point to turn the battery on, and it cannot be Leatherface due to him being forced to stay in the basement generally until Victims are ready to or already have left the basement.

Of course, the battery can simply be turned off by a Victim, but this action takes at least ten seconds to perform. It's very possible for a Family member to interrupt this and save what would have otherwise been an escape from happening.
8. Every Family member in the game each has access to the Family Focus ability. As the name suggests, this is an information ability. Which of the following can Family Focus reveal?

Answer: The voices of nearby Victims

Victim characters will occasionally speak, to themselves and other Victims in proximity. The talking is just flavor and does not reveal anything in particular other than the fact that the Victim is close by. Similarly to The Cook's Seek power, Family Focus can allow the player to hear any Victims who are speaking nearby.

The sound is non-directional and the volume is not based on proximity, however, so it's still only a very vague means of tracking Victims.
9. Another very situational way a Family member can find a nearby sneaking Victim is through the environment. Family member characters will make a comment if they physically spot something, indicating that a Victim is near. What in an environment will prompt a Family member to remark?

Answer: Blood trails

If a Victim is hit or loses health at any point, their character will begin to bleed for the rest of the match. This blood can be tracked by a very astute player on the Family side, likely one whose Gamma is turned up quite high to counteract the game's poor lighting on nighttime maps or indoors.

The blood is so hard to initially spot, and this is likely why Family members have dialogue lines specifically for when they see it.
10. Characters across the entire game can be freely levelled up with skill points. Family members' Powers, however, can only be levelled up in what way?

Answer: Playing as that Family member

Like Victims, Family Members' Powers can only be levelled up by choosing that Family member. XP gained in a match will contribute towards levelling up the character that was just played's Power. It is therefore possible to have a level 0 character with a maxed out Power, as well as a level 10 character with a level 1 Power.
