SCRAMBLES
We will not accept so much as a single scrambles question in any new quiz.

OPINION-BASED
These questions will not be accepted. Examples of such unacceptable questions:
-What is the best Kevin Smith film?
-In which movie did Julia Roberts look happiest?
-Did you like my quiz?

TIME-BASED
These questions are not acceptable. All quizzes at FunTrivia must be written so as to make sense in years to come. Examples of unacceptable questions:
-How many movies was Famke Janssen in last year?
-Which of these actors has won the most Oscars?
-What movie is David Mamet currently working on?

COUNTRY-SPECIFIC
This is usually a problem in questions asking about release dates. Release dates vary between countries, so the answer could be 1998 for the US, but 2000 for France. Because FT is an international site, we have to be sensitive to this reality and make sure we specify what country we are asking about.

OFFENSIVE LANGUAGE
Anything you wouldn't hear on the news is considered offensive. FunTrivia is a family site, and quizzes must reflect that. Neither do we allow inappropriate language to be edited out using characters like * or -. If you submit a quiz with these, it will be rejected. If you are doing a quotes quiz, you must choose your quotes with this in mind, as we will not allow you to substitute words into the quotes.

INAPROPRIATE CONTENT
This includes obscene language, as mentioned above. We do not allow inappropriate sexual or scatological references. Other topics may be deemed inappropriate at the discretion of the editors.

GENRES
In most situations, we will not accept questions about the genres of movies. Genres are fluid and subjectively defined, and thus do not make good fodder for quizzes.

NUMERICAL
Please avoid questions that ask about heights, weights, dates, time of day, or other numerical data. These questions are very boring to players who must guess at them, and can almost always be replaced by more interesting questions. Quizzes with numerical questions will probably be rejected.


OTHER
Due to their sheer banality, and the fact that the answers differ internationally, the following questions will no longer be accepted in quizzes:
- How long is the movie?
- What is the movie rated?
- When was this movie released?
We also do not accept questions on packaging material. This means you cannot ask about what picture is on the back of the film cover.
We also will not accept questions on DVD chapter titles, as these are largely unrelated to the movies, difficult to verify, and not all that interesting for players.
