Matthias was lost in Mossflower Wood and then heard a sucking noise. It was Silent Sam, sucking his paw.

2. Who was on the plank when Constance kicked it?

Answer: Cluny

Cluny was almost into Redwall when Constance appeared, kicked the plank, and sent Cluny down to the ground, seriously injuring him. He then hired Sela the Vixen as his healer.

3. Who is Martin living on through in Redwall?

Answer: Matthias

In the poem, Martin hints that his spirit is in a Redwall mouse. "Am that is" unscrambles to Matthias.

Jess was ready to rescue Matthias from the roof, but King Bull Sparra tried to get the sword belt back. He slipped off the roof with his claws gripped onto the sword belt, which Matthias had a hold on.
