In the north-east the Ahoms were defeated but rebelled again in the 1680s. Campaigns in the north-west against the Yusufzai and the Sikhs were temporarily unsuccessful. Aurangzeb's full name was Abu Muzaffar Muhuiddin Muhammad Aurangzeb Alamgir.
10. Which ruler succeeded to the throne of Ferghana in 1494?

Answer: Babur

Babur (1486-1530) orginally ruled Ferghana, a kingdom in what is now Uzbekistan. He went on to conquer northern India and established the Mughal dynasty. He also built many monuments, such as Kabuli Bagh and Babri Masjid.
