2. Who wrote the "Vorkosigan Saga"?

Answer: Lois McMaster Bujold

The main theme in these books is the struggle of a disabled aristocrat to overcome the prejudice his society has against "mutants". "The Vor Game", "Barrayar" and "Mirror Dance" all won the Hugo award for best novel.
3. Who wrote the "Hyperion Cantos" series?

Answer: Dan Simmons

This is one of the best known series of recent times. "Hyperion" received the 1990 Hugo and Locus awards, "The Fall of Hyperion" received the 1991 Locus and British Science Fiction awards and "The Rise of Endymion" received the 1998 Locus Award.
4. "Rendezvous with Rama" is the first in a series by which author?

Published in 1972, this book is seen as one of the great science fiction classics. It received both the Hugo and Nebula awards, and spawned the "Rama" series. Clarke teamed up with Gentry Lee for the remainder of the books.

"The Book of The New Sun" is a four part novel written between 1980 and 1983. It tells the story of Severian as he goes from disgraced journeyman torturer to the sole ruler of the free world.

Answer: Isaac Asimov

The "Foundation" series is an enormous body of work. There are seven core books, but the "Robot" series and "Empire" series could be considered to belong as prequels to "Foundation". If you include these there are fifteen novels and many short stories. The series won the 1965 Hugo Award for All Time Best Series.
