1. When Bobby first meets Saint Dane, what is he posing as?

Answer: A cop

Uncle Press can tell it's him because he's wearing a khaki-colored uniform, and the cops in that part of town wear blue.

2. Who is the Merchant of Death?

Answer: Figgis

Alder is the Traveler from Denduron; he's one of the good guys. Mallos is Saint Dane's name on Denduron, but he's not the one who provided the Milago with tak. That's Figgis, an unlucky merchant who was only trying to help. And get rich.

3. What is the name of the tyrannical tribe that lives in a castle overlooking the sea on Denduron?

Answer: The Bedoowan

The Milago are the tribe the Bedoowan exploit as miners. The Novan are servants who work in the castle. The Peragwa are completely and totally made up.

4. What is the name of the first girl Uncle Press caught Bobby making out with?

Answer: Nancy Kilgore

I definitely had to look this one up (and not just for the spelling). Bobby thinks about this after Uncle Press catches him kissing Courtney; he's worried because when Press caught him with Nancy Kilgore, he laughed his head off, but now he's very serious.

5. When Andy Mitchell asks Mark what's in his pack in the bathroom, after Mark has just finished reading Bobby's first journal, how does Mark respond?

Answer: P-Playboys

Mitchell responds, with a lascivious grin, "You dog. Lemme see." Great guy.

6. What's the most effective weapon you can use against a quig from Denduron?

Answer: A whistle

The bear-quigs from Denduron hate noise. A spear could be effective too, but only if there are other quigs around and only then for a short while. After they're done eating, they'll turn on you, and then you'll have no weapon.

7. Who is Osa?

Answer: A Traveler

Osa is Loor's adopted mother, the former Traveler of Zadaa, and she died to protect Bobby and Loor.

8. When Bobby is surprised by Alder, a Bedoowan knight, (while eavesdropping on Loor) before he finds out Alder's a Traveler, what does he do?

Answer: He grabs Loor and jumps into the river

He's feeling all great about getting himself and Loor out of a sticky situation until Loor informs his that Alder's a Traveler who was going to help them before Bobby stepped in. Then he feels pretty lousy.

9. What is the name of the Bedoowan Queen?

Answer: Kagan

Kagan is naive, blubbery, and in every way unpleasant.

10. What is the Traveler's motto?

Answer: This is the way it was meant to be.
