After helping the girl on the bridge, Miranda goes home and kills her husband. The girl possesses Miranda to avenge her death, because she was killed by Doug at Willow Creek.

When Miranda is driving home she almost runs over a girl on the bridge. She tries to help her but gets possessed while doing so. The girl is Rachel Parsons. Rachel is the daughter of Phil Parsons.

When Miranda and Phil are talking inside her cell at the police station, Miranda finds out that he is the killer. When Miranda tries to get away, he tries to kill her.
