Phantom Phreak asks Dade this question upon their first meeting. Dade has just spent the day locked out on the school roof, in the rain, because Kate convinced him there was a pool up there. I'd say he has a reason to be upset. Given what happens in the rest of the film though, I'd say he has at least some other interests in her, wouldn't you?

Answer: Crash Override

Connotations! This doesn't happen when you'd think. Pretty early in the movie, Dade and Kate have a little competition over a video game. Dade is the first person to ever beat her high score, and his name ends up "on top."

Answer: Joey

Joey, the youngest and most normal-looking member of the hackers' clique, unfortunately, has no handle. He complains "I need a handle, man. I don't have an identity until I have a handle." Since he doesn't have one, Phantom Phreak calls him "Boy Meets World" after the then-popular "TGIF" show. This happens in the arcade after Dade beats Kate's high score.

Answer: "Pool on the roof must have a leak."

Dade, of course, sets the sprinklers off by hacking into the school's computer system. This not only impresses his friends (especially Phantom Phreak), but starts off his rivalry with Kate. Phreak, seeing them interact says, "Man, oh man, this is gonna be good," and boy is he right.

Answer: Cereal Killer

These should be words to live by. At the party at Kate's house, Cereal notices some less-than-attractive people in very tight-fitting clothing. This is right before Dade, Cereal, and Phreak get caught in Kate's bedroom sneaking a look at her laptop.

Answer: The Plague

This is one of the weirdest lines in the film, and is delivered by one of the weirdest characters. The Plague, otherwise known as the bad guy, skateboards into a big corporate computer security room to catch Joey hacking into the company's "garbage" file. It's a good thing he's so good with computers, because his grammar could use some work.

Answer: Phantom Phreak

This is after the second time Cereal has asked to crash at someone else's house in front of Dade, and Phreak has to explain his strange behavior.

Answer: "Mess with the best, die like the rest"

The other three messages belong to Acid Burn (Kate). She types them to Crash in their first computer battle, when they fight for control of the television station.

Answer: Froot Loops

This is how Phreak introduces Dade to Cereal at the arcade. Interesting that "Froot Loops" can describe both the spelling of his handle ("Cereal," not "Serial") and his general demeanor. The full quote is "Meet Cereal Killer. As in Froot Loops... But he does know things."

Answer: Lord Nikon

Nikon, like the camera brand. Also, he has a photographic memory, which the hackers use to their advantage on a number of occasions. That explains both the nickname and the handle. It makes sense if you stop to think about it.
