Who is this 2-time Super Bowl winner and one-time NFL Comeback Player of the Year?

Answer: Jim Plunkett

Plunkett would struggle as both a Patriot and a 49er. The Patriots traded him to San Francisco in 1976 and the 49ers released him in 1978. Plunkett joined the Raiders in 1978 and would be a back-up for two years before getting the starting job. In 1980, he would get his break as a starter, winning 9 of 11 games and leading the Raiders to the playoffs with a wild card birth and making it to the Super Bowl.

The Raiders would be the first wild card team to win the Super Bowl, as they beat the Philadelphia Eagles 27-10 in Super Bowl XV. Plunkett would also be the winning QB three years later when the Los Angeles Raiders won Super Bowl XVIII by defeating the Washington Redskins 38-9.
