Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which former Formula 1 driver owned Super Aguri in 2006?

Answer: Aguri Suzuki

Following a reasonably unspectactular F1 career, Suzuki announced that he was to enter a team in 2006. Not much was expected of the team, but they did improve as the season went on.
2. What team's 2002 chassis was used to build the Super Aguri 2006 cars?

Answer: Arrows

As the team didn't have long to get prepared for the first race, they used an old arrows chassis instead of building one from scratch, although it was 4 years old.
3. Which of these wasn't Yuji Ide (Super Aguri 2nd driver for the first four races) guilty of?

Answer: Taking out his teammate at first corner

Causing Albers to flip was the final straw for the FIA, who took away his super license. He also managed to steer into his pit crew, spun during the Australian GP weekend, and was unable to locate reverse.
4. Who replaced Ide after San Marino?

Answer: Franck Montagny

Although not Japanese, Montagny drove for Super Aguri until the French Grand Prix.
5. When was Super Aguri's new car debuted?

Answer: Hockenheim

The new car was much faster, and during the second half of the season, they were roughly on the same pace as the Midland/Spyker.
6. Who was blamed by Heidfeld for a crash at the end of the Chinese Grand Prix?

Answer: Sakon Yamamoto

Yamamoto was blamed for the accident which cost Heidfeld a few points, although it was Satos fault.
7. Where did Sato and Super Aguri get their best finish of the season, and what position was it?

Answer: Brazil - 10th

Sato had a good race to finish 10th in the final race of the season.
8. Who were Super Aguri's engine suppliers?

Answer: Honda

It wasn't just the engine Honda supplied, as they also helped with a lot of other aspects on the car.
9. Who was contracted to drive the Super Aguris in 2007?

Answer: Takuma Sato and Anthony Davidson

Super Aguri decided against another all Japanese line up and have opted for Honda test driver Davidson to partner Sato.
10. Aguri Suzuki is the most successful Japanese driver ever.

Answer: False

Although he got a podium, Takuma Sato did too and has been more successful, thanks mainly to a good season with B.A.R in 2004.
