There was 33 in the first century of the Major Leagues. From 1909 between Pittsburgh and Detroit to the last one in 1997 between the Marlins and the Indians.
The four World Series which were best-of-nine all had a game played (none went to a decisive ninth game) - 1903, 1919, 1920 and 1921.
2. Which team had a record of five wins and no losses in the seventh game of World Series play?

Answer: Pittsburgh Pirates

The Pirates won in 1909, 1925, 1960, 1971 and 1979.
